Pete Wentz and Asslee Simpson-Wentz are having a child together and the pair have finally spoken out about it.
The newlyweds released a statement Wednesday night announcing the happy baby news.
They say:
"While many have speculated about this, we wanted to wait until after the first trimester to officially confirm that we are expecting our first child. This is truly the most joyous time in our lives and we are excited to share the happy news and start our family.

I wish people would leave couples alone when they suspect they're pregnant. Most people want to wait until that first trimester is complete before announcing anything. It saves a lot of pain and embarrassment in case something terrible happens.

Well, let's look on the bright side….at least they got married! But who knows for what reason. Because they were planning on getting married anyway? or Because they're expecting a baby and felt the need to get married because it was "the right thing to do"? or maybe Ashlee's parents forced them to get married so the child wouldn't be illegitimate?
