According to reports, Patty LaBelle, Nona Hendryx, and Sarah Dash have officially reunited as R&B trio Labelle and will issue their first album of original songs in 33 years.
Rocker Lenny Kravitz will is said to be contributing to the new untitled album.
Labelle is best known for the hit song Lady Marmalade.
We're personally reunioned out!

I personally loved the disco era music, BUT I'm not the least bit interested in their reunion. It won't be the same music since they'll try to be modern and up to date. Bottom line it'll be a suckfest.
I remember how incredible LaBelle was at a performance in Central Park. They were not your typical R&B…they were rocked out mad and the show was packed and terrific. However, that was in the late 70's. Don't know how they'll pull it off now. Patti still has the pipes, but a reunion…well, not sure about that. If Lenny Kravitz is contributing some songs, it may have some potential.

Most people on here wouldn't be able to recognize a singing artist if they heard one, because it's been that long, they think Britney and even, lol, Jessica can sing. Now, actual singers are coming forth, out of retirement, probably because they like a lot of people, they are tired of the BS, including yours P-Man because it appears you don't know talent either and have fallen for the hype. My first concert in Syracuse at 19 yo. Still listen to their music better than some of the so-called Acts Today. You're just hatin' on race and age. For fans of any music - I don't see most of the pop tarts lasting until 40.
Just because YOU are not into something don't bash someone else. I will go to their concert and buy the CD something I haven't done in 8 years.
Early music was very very political in the seventies. Listen to it now and could be an anthym for the Obama Campaign. Listen to some of their 70's stuff before you pass judgement.
They will make the geriatric performances of old stars on American Idol seem anemic. Nona Hendricks is a lesbian and prolific songwriter.

they tried this already. this recorded a reunion single for the soundtrack of 'To Wong Foo…' years ago. It went nowhere. Not even spun in clubs, so why would a reunion of 60 year olds make any one interested 10 years later after the 1st attempt? besides, Patti has a tendency of blasting anyone out of the stratosphere on stage with her, so how could anyone even think of trying to stand up there with her and be heard over her hootin' and hollerin'?

Actually, this would be one of the few really great reunions. I don't expect todays generation to know everything about music history, but one should do their research before they ignorantly blog. Go see this concert and you will know what it is to see and hear Music Royalty. You will also behold the human voice as a musical instrument. Though I'm still livid with Miss Patti for her suck-ass concert in Saratoga, CA last year, (She didn't even know where she was!!!) there are few voices on the planet that can do what hers can. Sarah Dash's nick-name is Sister Golden Throat, and don't even get me started on the fabulousness that IS Nona Hendrix; there you go. "LEARN IT!"
