I live in Vancouver and am a huge fan of the Canucks. I have seen him play hockey and it looked like he was going to have a bright future in it. It is deeply saddening and tragic. RIP LUC BOURDON.

oh my god so sad…Go Canucks Go
OMG NOOOO not him. RIP to the greatest, youngest canadaian player that ever lived
SAD!
That's exactly why people shouldn't have motorcycles…I bet he wasn't wearing a helmet, either. What a stupid loss. My heart goes out to his family.
This is so sad. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family, friends, and the Vancouver Canuck organization. RIP Luc.
Aww this is really sad. My friend is an EMT and they called motorcyclist "organ donors"

He will be missed! Very sad
oh how horribly sad…his whole life in front of him together with a great career.
Re: Alexis – What in the heck are you talking about? Guaranteed he WAS wearing a helmut. Unfortunately accidents happen and regardless of what vehicle you are riding in/on a collision with a tractor trailer is almost certain death.
My thoughts are with his family. RIP Luc Bourdon.
Oh, Man. That's sad.
So sad!! R.I.P
awwwww!
my thoughts and prayers go out to his family.
Re: mai – Someone has died here and you are worried about being "second"….get some help freak!
its a pity.
when are people going to realize how dangerous motorcycles are?
if i owned a sports team, no player would be allowed to ride one.
how many athletes get into motorcycle accidents? TOO MANY!!!
:( so sad

How awful! I will be praying for his friends and family during this difficult time
how sad, thats why motorcycles suck
ill send my deepest prayers. wow, only 21.
Re: j –
couldnt disagree with you more. there are no safety devices on motorcycles.
no seat belts and no airbags. if you get into a car accident, good chance you'll walk away. if you get in a motorcycle accident, good chance you wont walk away. BASIC COMMON SENSE!!!!
How sad!
so sad
God bless.
Ouch. Honestly, never heard of him in my life, but I always cringe when I read about people getting in road accidents. Got to be one of the worst ways to die. 21? Sad. Way too young.
Thank you Perez for your thoughts and prayers, he was a great player with lots of potential. he will be missed dearly
Not only has the NHL lost a great player, Canada has lost a great son.
Very sad…it was actually early this morning outside Shippagan. He was one of the future faces of hockey…
So Sad!! He was really hot
lame! that's horrible
very sad.
condolences to the Bourdon family and friends.
the kid had the chance to be a star d-man in the big league.
again, very sad.
r.i.p my fellow canuck.
22nd?
This is very sad and our hearts go out to this young man's family. Motorcycles suck!
Too young!! Motorcycles should be outlawed immediately.
So sad, I just saw it on CBC right before Simpsons came on and I am only a few hours away from where this took place (somewhat Southern New Brunswick). I watched him play on both Team Canada and with the Canucks. My thoughts and prayers go to his family.
OMG! he was only 21! it's soo sad. RIP Luc.
aw thats so sad
R.I.P x
I've watched Luc play his games all throughout his QMJHL seasons. He will be sadly missed! RIP Luc. xo
Being a diehard Devils/Hockey fan, I am very sad about this. RIP luc, you'll be greatly missed. My heart and prayers go out to his family, friends & the Canucks organization.
RIP Buddy.
too sad
Re: Alexis – For your info, because you obviously didn't do your research, helmets are mandatory in Canada.
He absolutely was wearing a helmut, that's the law here in New Brunswick. That won't keep you from breaking your neck or anything else, unfortunately, I lost a friend in high school and an uncle in motorcycle accidents.
New Brunswick lost another precious son, RIP.
My thoughts & prayers go out to his family. How sad and how unfortunate.
Re: Alexis – if he was on a motorcycle, he WAS wearing a helmet so that was pointless to say. when you're on a motorcycle, no matter how much protective gear, you're no match for a tractor-trailer. I've lost too many friends in motorcycle accidents who did EVERYTHING right.
What a sad loss of life, Rest in Peace.
Thank you Perez for bringing this to everybodies attention. This is why Canada loves you.
I am also a huge Canucks fan and his presence on the ice will be missed greatly. He had much talent and a promising future. R.I.P
P.S Alexis, it is the LAW to wear a helmet while riding a motorcycle in Canada.
I extend my heartfelt condolences to Luc Bourdon's family and friends, and to the entire Vancouver Canucks organization, plus to his fans. It would have been a joy to see him play against Calgary. -Flames Fan
I live in Vancouver and i just want to say that Luc Bourdon was a kick ass player, so much passion for the game! My thoughts and prayers go out to his family,
He meant alot to the team as well as vancouver!
RIP LUC BOURDON.
That's awful news. As an Oiler fan, I do recall Bourdon in a match up or two between the two teams. I also watched this kid in the 2006 world juniors and 2007 as well. But you don't wish this to happen on your worst enemy's team. RIP buddy.
I am going to miss you on the ice!!! R.I.P.
That is so sad. He was so young and talented. RIP.
@ #9 Alexis… i'm sure he was wearing a helmet, in Canada they are mandatory in all provinces, unlike the States where it's optional in many places, which amazes me since it's such common sense, then again in the states seatbelts weren't even mandatory in all states either until recent years, that is even if they are now?
Re: Gigi –
How can you say 1st sum1 died?! R.I.P Luc only 21 and youth is indeed one of the few blessing in life.
it's so sad when good-looking people die.
A fine young Canadian. RIP.
TO ALL THE PEOPLE WHO THINK MOTORCYCLES ARE THE REASON THAT SO MANY PEOPLE ARE KILLED IN MOTORCYCLE ACCIDENTS:
THE PEOPLE RIDING THE MOTORCYCLES ARE NOT THE PROBLEM
THE IDIOTS DRIVING IN CARS,TRUCKS,SUV'S AND SO FORTH ARRREEE THE PROBLEM!!!!! IF PEOPLE ON THE ROAD WERE MORE AWARE AND CAUTIOUS THERE WOULD BE FARRR LESS ACCIDENTS!!!!!!!!!!!
I KNOW SOMEONE WHO WAS KILLED ON A MOTORCYCLE BY A DRUNK DUMB ASS UNDER-AGE GIRL WHO PULLED OUT IN FRONT OF HIM ONLY ALLOWING HIM 3 FEET TO TRY AND STOP!!!!!!!
HE WASN'T HURTING ANYONE
HE WAS NOT SPEEDING
HE WAS WEARING A HELMET
HE WAS OUT HAVING A SAFE QUICK RIDE AND A IDIOT TEENAGER TOOK THAT AWAY FROM HIM!!!!!
DO NOT BLAME THE PERSON ON THE MOTORCYCLE FOR ENJOYING THEIR LIFE
BLAME THE MORONS IN THE CARS WHO HAVE NO RESPECT FOR THE PEOPLE ON THE MOTORCYCLES AND SHOW NO CAUTION
AND FOR ALL YOU PEOPLE WHO KEEP POSITNG
"I BET HE WASNT WEARING A HELMET"
SCREW YOU!!!!!!!!
WERE YOU THERE?
THANKS!
whoa perez im glad u but this story up, i was in shock, very sad..RIP LUC
Re: Alexis – That's one of the stupidest presuptions I've ever heard. You are an idiot. I hope something even worst happens to you for saying that.
This is the same stretch of highway that I had a serious accident on in November 2006 - lots of twisty turns and I'm not surprised that there is another death. My thoughts are with his family.
Shocking news from my mom this morning. My boyfriend played with him for the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles. He was a great guy. Thoughts and prayers to his family and girlfriend. rip Luc xox
awwww. so sad! RIP.
=[
i hope his family is doing well.
Thank you Perez for putting this story up…this is so sad, only 21

I was happy that you put this up here.
Very very sad–showed a lot of promise for a new player! My heart goes out to his family!
Re: Alexis –
You're a moron. Who are you to presume that he wasn't wearing a helmet? Way to disrespect the dead.
I am a die hard fan of the Canucks, and when I woke up to this news this morning, I was utterly heartbroken and cried for a good hour. I had the pleasure of meeting Luc Bourdon when he was still playing junior hockey. He was a very kind, friendly, funny, down-to-earth person He will be sorely missed.
Rest in peace, Luc. My thoughts and prayers go out to the Bourdon family.
I really appreciate you posting about this Perez. Luc was a very promising player, and a huge loss to our Vancouver team
My condolences go out to his family in this very difficult time.
Re: that s –
