The title that was given this was…"Words of Wisdom"…..The last statement made in George's message was…"Peace, like war, must be waged."……Does this mean that Perez supports war????? I would assume so. Some things are worth fighting for. Freedom isn't free, it comes at a very high price. I like this message, for the most part, although I think that the UN is lacking greatly in wisdom. Clooney made some great points…..I'm waiting to see some pictures of him to show up elsewhere with his "new" teeth before I believe that he got that done. This is a handsome man. I looked up photos of him and they all were rated 4 to 5 stars.

      Re: GodHat

George isn't too realistic. Hollywood types are like this. They live in a fantasy world. And the thought of that world being taken away, or them no longer being important or valid (They really aren't people, why anyone listens to them is beyond me..) scares them. So they want to make sure their "world" is kept the way it is. It's as simple as that. Survival.

George isn't as deep as many of you think. He's an ACTOR. He just ACTS that way. He's just smug.

    26. 26

Re: j wisely said: WHO CARES WHAT CELEBRITIES HAVE TO SAY?!?!?! they are some of the most clueless humans.
Those that believe what these celibutards do, listen to them because it somehow makes them feel validated. (Someone "important" believing like they do) It's all rather shallow and more self involved than they would like to admit. Look at all the people Michael Moore suckered in. He was like an old time shill selling tonic along the road. And the suckers he was bowling for bought it hook line and sinker. Because they WANTED to believe.

    29. LAS says – reply to this

      29

      Let's see ….

the UN's bureaucrats engage in fraud, its officials are found running smuggling rackets or child prostitution rings, it is full of internal corruption,. The UN allows countries with atrocious human rights records sit in judgment of countries with passable human rights records, and it lets an anti-Israel prejudice dictate its agenda. They can't even manage a disaster relief efforts. The UN needs to be replaced with something that works. What a joke.

Not an assumption. Hell even South Park made it clear that ole Georgy Porgy thinks he is more in the KNOW than "regular" people. As if him being in movies makes him in a status above anyone else. Puhlease. That's pretentious as all get out. As far as your other projections.. come on. Silly :)

oh did anyone hear about those aid workers that were abusing children in africa….. everything has it bad points

    37. I've says – reply to this

      37

I am so tired of Africans and I am black. Why the hell can't they treat their own people with dignity? I know they have been oppressed but so have we. Dayum I know we have our problems with black on black crime and self hatred too but Africans take it to a whole new level, raping children when they are supposed to be peacekeeping, raping baby girls because they think it will cure their AIDS, removing women's clits, and the list of abuses goes on and on. Y'all and some dumb ass fuckers. Thank God one of your bastards' ancestor sold my ancestor into slavery. No wonder they are starving and can't get it together. When people send them aid the assholes in charge steal the food instead of giving it to the needy and every African I ever met was a con artist. People want to help but they need to get themselves together and do right or their lives will always suck and eventually they will all die off which is just what the greedy oppressors want.

Please… the UN is crookeder then both the Democrats and Republicans… COMBINED. Do the research and see just what they are really doing with your money.. yes yours.. your tax money that gets sent in to the UN to pay the annual dues that every country must pay.. including the U.S.

George… your such a Jack Ass… You too Perez for supporting him.

Re: KevinK – You're actually quoting 'South Park' as your irrefutable source? ROFL. Enough said. I replied. YOU yammered. The U.N is doing mountainous levels of international aid worldwide along with peacekeeping while the rest of you parrot this admin's convenient dismissal of it due to their personal agenda and curious sudden power struggle with the U.N. back when they decided to go to 'war' with Iraq; the rest of the world still considers it the most valid International Org. we have, and I guess your people pushed it to the side because they want what they want; and we all know how peacekeeping is at the very top of their list.

    44. Yup. says – reply to this

      44

This U.N. scandal may be real or it may be spin designed to further diseempower it, but either way there are a few bad apples in every organization, and you don't throw the baby out with the bathwater. You clean house like Reagan had to; but the valuable infrastructure is still in place, along with the very valid hopes, ideals and missions.

It's amusing to see an American promoting the UN's efforts toward peace when the "president" thumbed his coke-filled nose at the UN back when he decided to invade Iraqistan to try and stop the "terra" being perpetrated by that evil Sadama Bin Hussein.

Nice try, but the world still hates you guys.

You like all the other haters are just coward fags who are jealous. Plus the minute you have a natural disaster or someone starts a war and attacks you, who ya gonna call???????????? US you fuck faced loser! Go suck another cock

    50. canadi says – reply to this

      50

Just for thought.. The UN is at the mercy of member states when it comes to actually staging interventions in other countries, because it doesn't have it's own force - it relies on the armed forces of its member states. This was a key failure of the UN mission in Rwanda, where the UN force commander was begging for enough UN troops to stop the genocide, while Madeline Allbright and Bill Clinton debated the definition of genocide and whether an intervention was actually needed. The result? 800,000 Rwandans were killed in 100 days.

I agree with George, and kudos to him for taking on what may be the least sexy cause ever (sexy voiceover notwithstanding!) The UN is capable of and sometimes does do great work, but it's not exempt from politics, and we should be paying lots of attention to the UN to ensure it stays relevant, and stays strong enough to continue to respond to humanitarian crises.

      Re: Yup.

You're actually quoting 'South Park' as your irrefutable source? ROFL.
Please show me where I used the word irrefutable source. I didn't. Having said that, South Park is a equal opportunity offender. And when someone IS acting like a pretentious jackass like Clooney was that night, they will make fun of said person.
Enough said. I replied. YOU yammered.
You verbally masturbated and made lame character assassinations on me. Yay for you I guess.
The U.N is doing mountainous levels of international aid worldwide along with peacekeeping
Those acts, while good, don't suddenly make the people they've murdered or raped come back to life, or not be messed up in the head because of it. The UN is a joke.
while the rest of you parrot this admin's convenient dismissal of it due to their personal agenda

Projection. We are stating FACTS. FACTS about the UN that make them a joke. You don't like it so you just project some silliness into what we believe. As if you knew why we said the things we did better than us ourselves. I am beginning to see why you like George..

I wont even go into the Oil For Food Scandal. Anyone that looks up to the UN is either blind, or brainwashed.
