Comedian Harvey Korman passed away at the UCLA Medical Center on Thursday.

He was 81.

We LOVED watching Harvey on the Carol Burnett show and Mama's Family.

The world is a little less funny today.

Thoughts and prayers to the Korman family.

The world still has great comedians and has a lot of humor. The reason you don't feel it does is because 24 hour television and the internet brings you ever last misery present in the world in every detail. Stuff you would have waited 24 hours for to read in the next day's paper (if you even bothered) you now get in immediate and gory detail. The world is actually in better shape now than ever- there is just no way to tell you that since normal days and good news doesn't sell. If you turned off your computer and your television, and enjoyed what you have and what is around you, and did a little volunteer work, you might think the world was a lot better than you do. the world is full of risk, but only in this generation do you have to hear every last damn detail of stuff you can't do a thing about.

Harvey was not a regular member of the Mama's Family cast but during the first season both he & Carol Burnett guested several times as Ed & Eunice (they were both a riot at Naomi & Vint's wedding). So her was on Mama's Family, just not all of the time.
