Former TV actress Mischa Barton is being a total diva about promoting for her new movie.
Diva isn't really the word - it's more like bitch!
Barton, who plays a Russian lesbian in the film You and I, has completely disappeared.
If only it were permanent!
First, she didn't show up to the premiere earlier this month in Cannes, and now she's not promoting the film.
She shouldn't get paid either!
Director Roland Joffe has just said that Mushy "hasn't pulled out of interviews, she's pulled out of everything… Her room is here, she is here, but trying to get the two together has just been impossible. We just don't know where Mischa is."

I went to the You and I after-party in Cannes, and Tatu was there, performed, and hung out afterwards to mingle with everyone but Mischa was nowhere in sight…someone who worked in her publicity firm told us that she was having a "Diva day", didn't show up to her photo call earlier that day, etc… another one of my friends ran into her on the Bud Light boat, though, and said she seemed nice! Maybe she just doesn't wanna work??

I thought there was some kind of clause in an actors contract once they sign on for a movie that they must spend X amount of hours promoting the film and also must attend X amount of premieres prior to and during the movies theatrical release? There should be some kind of monetary reclamation the studio can take against actors who fail to do this. Anyone clarify this for me?

Mischa Barton's fall from grace continues, according to spies inside Nylon magazine's recent cover shoot with the actress. "They had a really hard time trying to make her look good," says a mole. "Her legs were even worse than [last month's cover model] Blake Lively's." Barton also allegedly threw a tantrum, claiming her car didn't arrive to pick her and her mother up for the shoot. "But when Nylon checked, it turns out it was Mischa who didn't show up," says the source. "The driver was waiting for 30 minutes but she never came down." Barton's rep didn't return calls.

i remember seeing her in a canadian film when she was young, pre-oc days. she was the thing i remember most about the movie, despite it's somewhat controversial material. i remember thinking, wow this kid is really talented for such a young age to grasp this material & pull it off believably. she had depth & humility, innocence. i think doing oc wasn't a good move. she should have stuck with good indie films. there may be hope for her yet, if she watches who she surrounds herself with. i think she got mixed up with the wrong people early on in her career in hollyweird. now she's trying to distance herself & repair any damage. another downfall is those unfortunate legs. she should never wear short skirts. ever. pants or long evening dresses for formal things & nothing else. lol. she's a decent actress tho.
