I think it's really sad that people are still blaming music and musicians for why young people committ suicide. I guess it's an easy place to point the blame. Where were her family, teachers and friends? People show signs. There just needs to be someone there to recognize them and offer help. People ignoring the problem, doesn't make it go away.
I know MCR are awful but you can turn off the radio or put on a better CD. You don't have to kill yourself. Just put on better music.
Every time I hear My chemical romance's music I want to kill myself, so maybe they did print the truth!!

are you people dense? i want you all who are saying things like "stupid emos" or "eww… goths" to look up the video to teenagers where at the end it says "VIOLENCE IS NOT THE ANSWER" with a suicide prevention number. on the contrary, my chemical romance does sometimes portray a dark beat, but if you listen to the world i consider them inspiring. the band saved my life, not ended it. Im sorry if someone decided to end their life, but that is not the band's fault in any way, shape or form. Clearly, the chick had previous issues. just leave the band alone, i agree with the protesters.
I personally think it was opinions taken too far, people should learn that newspapers write a load of crap. I however do think it is unfair to blame one band (i dont even class them as emo!)

Yeah, I don't think this is the best video to address the subject, but most My Chemical Romance fans just let this story go. We know they don't advocate suicide–quite the opposite–and their music is uplifting to us. Also, anyone who would be such a devoted fan that they would kill themselves for MCR would already be aware that the members are about changing your life, not ending it, when things suck.
All I got out of this was that British kids are indeed some of the fugliest things around, and in serious need of a tan and a shower. And I did not understand one thing they were saying.

Dumb asses, the Daily Mail publish Monday to Saturday, so no one would have been at their offices on a saturday! If you're going to protest it's always better when the organisation your are protesting about are around to hear you.

Yeah, honestly… MCR is my favorite band and I have blonde hair, wear pink and insert the word "like" in between every other word. I LOVE their music and even though I've never had any issues with depression, etc, I do believe their music helps people. I mean, if someone is contemplating suicide then… that's their own issue. Don't blame it on the music they listen to.

Its not a dig at emo kids at all. I found a new respect for them. Its great that they stand up for what they believe in. More people should. The full documentary film will show a fairer side. The trailer is only meant to be tongue in cheek as there is a SERIOUS message behind the whole thing.

I am not an obsessed MCR fan, but I know they are not emo. Those kids on the video aren't even all emo. This video has portrayed them in a poor light and this pisses me off. Although I love mcr and am thankfully not another "emo" clone, I do think these kids have taken it out of proportion. If it was atleast a prestigious paper such as The Guardian it would perhaps be more understandable. Just attention seeking, in my opinion.
