Satanists do NOT worship the devil-I used to think they did until I educated myself. THEY DO NOT LIKE THE HYPOCRISY of Christianity and use the name Satanism to go against that belief system, but they DO NOT kill babies and animals and all that stupid stuff. So Satanism isn't really that big of a deal unless you are a hardcore Christian right winger who cannot accept other people's faith. To those saying that Satanism is not about worshipping Satan- that's not true for every Satanist. It just depends on what FORM of Satanism you follow. Many forms of pre-LaVayen Satanism had a lot to do with Satan and channeling demons, but LaVayen Satanism is much different from older forms of the practice.

Thanks, you said it first. This is old news Perez. Dr. LaVey and the C of S is not scary, sacrificing kids or animals, it's a very deep and rewarding philosophy which is hard to live up to. Anton, "Papa Tony" was actually a animal lover, was kind to children, and was really polite. This reflects his writings, if anyone would take to time to read ithem instead of judge. I have a magazine size tribute to Anton that was given out shortly after his death at his private memorial service. It is filled with letters from his friends and people who knew him. He was an interesting, awesome human being. I can't wait for his movie to come out. Satan is not a literal diety, according to Lavey. Suspend judgement people, until you know all the facts.
