I happen to love Josh Groban, and the fact that he smokes weed among other things just makes me like him more. Thank god he isn't a random little angel-voiced prep with no soul, he can sing AND get down after the concert? Hell yeah!
For the people who are confused, the coffee shops in Amsterdam sell small amounts of pot. As long as they don't deal large amounts, the police there look the other way. That's what he's insinuating when he says he went to Amsterdam and went to a coffee shop to have *coffee*.
There is nothing wrong with smoking weed and it doesn't fuck up your brain. I'm 60 yrs old and have been smoking pot for over 40 years. By the way, I'm a professional in the legal arena and I still grow my own for my own personal use. The laws in this country regarding pot should change.

Number two, he's never claimed to be "innocent", he's just a normal 27 year old who just happens to have a talent (unlike most celebs his age).
Number three, he was just making a joke. If you've watched any of his DVDs or been to a concert, you'll know he has a goofy sense of humor. In the article, a member of the band cracked a joke about Amsterdam and he carried it on. He did not seriously say he actually smoked anything.
If you know anything about Josh Groban, you'll know that he rarely drinks and doesn't smoke in order to protect his voice.

Perez, for someone so involved in the celebrity world, it never ceases to amaze me how often you get surprised by people smoking pot. I would assume 90% of celebrities between 18-25 do.
Josh Groban is awsome, no matter what he chooses to do. That includes anything a normal 27 year old guy does. If he wants to smoke pot, let him. Some "Grobanite's" may be upset by this, but whatever.

I love Josh. He is so talented and just a great person overall. He did a concert in my town where a friend of mine got backstage. He used a childrens choir that she worked with for one of his songs. She said she talked to him for about a half hour about life and music. He is such a nice guy. I am glad that he is so open about his life. Some people would just try and hide it to keep up the look, but he is honest and I think more people will respect that.

You like his music or not, it doesn't change that he sang at the Olympics closing ceremony, in the Vatican, at the Nobel Prize event, at the Grammy's, all within 6 years of starting his singing career. You don't have to like his music to appreciate the fact that he helps children in South-Africa through his foundation to which his fans contribute a great deal. You don't have to like his music to stand in awe at the accounts of how his voice, his music CHANGED people. Some may call all this bullshit… I'll say that no matter what he does, or doesn't do, the GOOD he has done in, and to the world so far is pretty amazing, and hard to follow.
So hold your horses and don't relish the news of a drug-addict Josh Groban yet… because first of all, trying pot in Amsterdam is not only legal, but almost expected; and second, everyone is free to evaluate themselves- is anyone perfect?
As far as I'm concerned, he could start using heroin if he wanted to… and I would not love him less. It's the difference he made, and keeps making in the world that matters.
