They can help kids by warning them about the dangers in doing drugs.
    .
Instead o covering up what hapened, they should have used this tragedy to warn others and show how showbiz exploits those young actors and controls them by drugs.

not to knock the late ledger in the least… but didn't the original joker come about as an older man who had fallen into a vat of chemicals?? how is this batman justifying ledger playing a young joker?? I won't see this movie due to it's complete MISS on the original coming of the joker, nor do I care to see the work of the late heath… it creeps me out to see the work of someone that has passed, especially when someone has passed so tragically!!

There's no way I could see this. Knowing that this role led to his suicide, it was different with the Crow in 1994. That was an accident. But he looks too disturbing here.

awww…sweet. i saw the preview for dark knight before indiana jones the other day and i have to say…it was a little morbid. i just don't know if i can sit through the whole thing without crying–knowing that one of my fave actors of all time will never premiere a movie again. sad. rip.

really no disrespect meant, but this heath fellow was/is no legend…it takes years to reach such proportions, accept him for all that he was, a promising young actor for his time, and for his time, there is no talent in hollywood, which makes him look all the better, HOWEVER.. .he was no pacino or deNiro realm of talent at the time of his death, not even in the ball-park…NOT EVEN! that said, still celebrate all that he was and did.

    48

    jadest,

lol have you been under a rock? The new Batman movie titled "The Dark Knight" is a sequel to Batman Begins. Batman Begins (and this new series) is a complete restart to the Batman franchise, erasing all the movies that came before it. This new series by Christopher Nolan finally does Batman justice in terms of its characterization.

It's not a "miss" at all because as far as this series is concerned, none of the other Batman movies ever existed.

It's a horrible thing to say you hope his family has to pay full price. Heath Ledger was a wonderful actor, he was still developing all of his skills and, plus, he was so adorable!!! He would've been the next Johnny Depp, and anyone who says it wasn't a tragedy and he wasn't a good actor needs to just go to hell.

Whoever came up with that face even if someone else in a film did makeup for a cast of thousands this person has to won an oscar. SCARY. REALLY SCARY you know he came to the set stoned out of his mind. Everyone knew even the caterers that he waas F U C K E D U P and based on this character and talk of his perfprmance I think everybody wants to see this and it will have HUGE opening numbers Talk aboit getting into character it killed him. This will be a scary performance. It will make Jack Nicholson Joker look comforting

  53. 53

    Re: jadest
nope that was the 89 movie this joker is closer to the comics with him and batman allmost being the same age. There is also a theroy that the joker is gay and insanely in love with batman so he tourters him just to be close to him.

Re: Cosmo Health was probably very sexually versatile in the bedroom too.

I love it when people project their fantasies onto other people. :D

He was all about the beef curtains man. Michelle Williams is SMOKING hot. I've always thought that since day one. So yeah, he's a good actor. And that's pretty much where that fantasy stops. :)

  66. 66

Re: nsh1212 There is also a theroy that the joker is gay and insanely in love with batman so he tourters him just to be close to him

Maybe in closeted homosexual fantasy dress up circles. But nothing that has to do with any reality here. That's a far stretch. Now, let the flaming begin.

we know that The Imaginarium of Dr.Parnassus will be the last film he is in but The Dark Knight will be the last film he completed and stars in fully, he only filmed for a few months on Dr.P before he died.
