"I Lied - Get Over It!"

Back when news of Ashlee Wentz's pregnancy first broke, the Simpson camp - being the media pros that they are - remained mum about the baby chatter.
Pete Wentz, on the other hand, went so far as to DENY that Ass was pregnant.
Now, he explains to MTV News why he was dishonest with his fans and the media.
Says the dad-to-be:
"Every woman, no matter who they are or what they do for a living, has the right to wait at least 3 months before sharing this very personal news," he wrote. "We wanted to wait until after the first trimester and get a clean bill of health from our doctors before confirming anything, just like any other couple.
Being a boy I have no idea how to respond to such things and my first instinct was to protect her and the baby.
It's insane that you can't let happy news brew in Hollywood. This wasn't about press or anything. It was about the health of the baby and trying to find a way to be happy with what should be the most happy time of our lives in the middle of a press blitz. I apologize to anyone who felt misinformed but the truth is, the person and growing baby is who I felt most loyal to protect and defend."

He's 100% right… I didnt tell anyone about my two kids until I was 3 months along. They have the right to their privacy in that matter, its not fair to have to suffer a media blitz about being pregnant and then have people knwo all about your misscarriage if it doesnt work out. :hint hint: Lily Allen anyone? I think he did the proper thing. NO ONE has the right to take the joy out of announcing your own happy pregnancy. Plus, something could of happened in the first 3 months. So this is only proper and how it is done in the real world. Luckily we don't have lame ass people like Perez spoiling it all for us in our lives.

In this case I think he did the right thing, though he was dishones. If she had miscarried the worse thing is having to go public with that very private and personal news. Every couple who are expecting a child have the right to wait before they go public with news of an impending pregnancy, because you never know how these things go.
They should've stayed quiet you don't know how many miscarriages there are in this world! Very sad when you tell everyone you're pregnant and a few days later have to tell them you got a miscarriage!

I think that it is fine they wanted to wait until they made sure the baby was healthy. Just because they are in the spotlight they do not own any explanation to anyone and they do not have to tell anyone a damn thing. That is their personal preference because it is there life.

Good for them. Most women wait until after the first trimester to announce pregnancies. So many things can go wrong in the that time. Having a child is a very personal thing and the public should leave them alone and let them enjoy the pregnancy. So, they lied. Big deal. Now I guess they need to let the annoying paps get in their personal space a bit more to get the first shots of a growing belly.
