This is great news. For people unware, the film industry is really suffering in the sense that the average audience attending theatres is young males. As a result, we are being inundated with awful fucking movies directed at this audience. When something like this movie comes along and performs, it challenges the system. Only good things come from shaking up the status quo.

Im not surprised…the movie was amazing….they could of made it a little more sexual haha but it was very good. hopefully they fix the boom mic thing for the dvd haha or re-release it in theaters. and hopefully they make a sequel.

it was SO GOOD! We went at 7 to get tickets for a 930 showing last night, and the 730,8,9,930,and 10 were all sold out, so we finally got tickets to the 1035… it was only 7pm!!!! we were shocked!

I watched SATC last night & I LOVED IT - it does the series proud. It's like watching a whole series in one sitting - without the adverts which was great.

Doesn't surprise me in the least bit, the theater was PACKED to the max when I saw it, that was only the 7 PM showing.

I can see why, it wowed and amazed me. It was so surprising that Steve cheated on Miranda, and with Samantha, that was no good. Charlotte's triplets were adorable, but that she named them Carrie, Miranda and Samantha was a bit over the top. What a nice surprise to see Stanford and Anthony get together, what a classic love/hate relationship, and I adored the outfit Carrie wore to their wedding. The scene with Big in drag was hilarious, how did he get his feet into those little blue Manolo's? It was both heartwretching and so right when Carrie finally left him though. The tattoo she got on her ass that said "No Big Deal" really was empowering for her. I was laughing and crying at the same time. I hope they make another one, those girls are fabulous!

Ok, I saw it LOOOOOOVED it - Go see it with all your girl friends!!! It is sooo much fun! It is very funny and emotional too! TO those who are shocked that 40 yr old women have box office power…IN YOUR FACE!!! It is a BLOCKBUSTER ALREADY! Glad to hear it. The movie was beyond amazing. If you enjoyed the show (particularly if you are used to the HBO version, not the sanitized for reruns one), you will not be disappointed. I went with someone who is only mildly familiar with the show and he loved it. I am a huge fan and immediately after went out to get the soundtrack and today bought the "making of the movie" book. I'm sure I will see this movie at least 2-3 more times this summer. Heck, the views of NYC alone are worth the price of a movie ticket. Not since Woody Allen's "Manhattan" has the City had such loving coverage by a movie. As for the NY Times critic, girlfriend must have been having a bad day. Don't let her cause you to miss a great film!
Shocker?! That film is soooo good. The reviewers are old or just don't get it. See it, it's good. It has depth but moves fast - perfect combo. I love that movie!!

I watch the movie yest. and I was pretty surprised about how good, fresh, glamorous, easy going, funny was… I am not only sure that SATC will reach over 70M… I also predict even much more $$ for the release day of the DVD… Very well deserve for the risk… Congrats!!

It was beyond my expectations. The movie was really good. I thought it was going to be cheesy as hell. Parts of it were so fucking hysterical. The only problem I had were they annoying bitches sitting next to me who were watching it and shouting stuff. They obviously never saw the series. Overall it was a great movie. All the showings in my theater were all sold out.
I loved it…will see it again. the music was great in it too. Jennifer Hudson's character was so cute and Charlotte…omg HYSTERICAL

Just came back from the movie and it was awesome! I'm not a huge fan, saw the episodes just once but the movie was REALLY good AND it was a 4PM show, completely sold out.
I am so proud of SJP, so there, Perez. And the movie was, to put it quite simply, everything I wanted it to be!
And by next weekend, it willl be out of the top ten.

I was a huge fan of the HBO series and watch the episodes ON DEMAND all the time. I saw the movie late this morning - the theater was 3/4 full of women (all ages) and some gay men. We all were laughing, crying and really enjoyed it.
Don't believe the "haters!" If you liked the series, see the movie - you'll love it.

Only criticism was not enough of the men of SATC! Next movie there better be more BIG, Steve, Stanford, Anthony (he was great!) and Harry!
The movie was just so-so. I just got back from seeing it, and I was VERY disappointed. I own the entire series on DVD and the movie did not measure up to the series. The writing on the movie had no soul. It was hollow. And Carrie really didn't shine in the movie, like she does in the series. And I so couldn't believe the decision that she decided to go back to Big after what he did to her.

If you are not a Sex & The City fan I would encourage you to save your money and not go but if you are a fan…get off your ass and pay the $11.95 to go see it. It was incredible! I laughed till I cried, I cried until I smiled, it was wonderfully done, emotional, powerful, uplifting, and heartbreaking movie. I want to say a big Eff You to the critics that panned it, you quite obviously should quit your jobs because you were so far off. And you know what I love? This movie doesn't have guns, killing, heavy guitar music, slow motion or CGI…it's a straight up female movie that will drop kick all of those other action/summer blockbusters (God love em) that are out in theatres right now! Indie who?

We tried to go to the movie here in Atlanta on Friday and was sold-out….finally got tix for Saturday at 10:35 pm!! It was amazing!!!!! 12 of us went and we did not want it to end!!!! Kristin Davis stole the show, but everyone was incredible. I hope every realizes it is just pure entertainment…thats all…quit hating….everyone knows what it is about already….just enjoy and you will be thrilled!!!! Great great job!!!!
