Brittany Murphy's career is in a downward spiral!
The once promising young actress has not starred in a hit film since 2005's Sin City, a movie in which she was just a featured player.
Murphy has never been the lead in a box office success, and these days, industry insiders comment more on her erratic behavior and crazy husband than her career (or lack of one).
Adding insult to injury, Disney has just axed Brittany from their deal with her!
Back in 2006, the Mouse House announced that Murphy would be their new voice of Tinkerbell. They planned to use her for work on new Tink DVDs and much more.
Well, this past week, Disney revealed that Brittany was out and there would be a new voice for Tinkerbell, actress Mae Whitman.
No explanation was given for Murphy's "departure" - but, really, we don't need one!

I really think that it is very sad that she has let her career go so badly for that looooooooooser ass husband of hers. He is such a weirdo. I really don't understand what she sees in him???? I can only think the worst when it comes to the relationship that she has with him, it seems that her erratic behavior started with him and I am sure that it is related to substance abuse. he has it written all over him. I don't understand why certain celebrities allow themselves to get caught up in the low living of an untalented person that has nothing to offer them in that relationship. It is like that with so many talented people anymore, it is baffeling. She is so talented. Some of the movies that I have seen her in have just blown me away, her performances have been amazing and it is such a shame to see that go to such a waste!! I just hope that she figures that out before she totally throws away something that she could have and soar so high with before its too late.

Lots of actors are dropped or drop out of something daily. There could be many reasons. BM has had a bunch of hits. A lot of actors go a few years without a hit. Like, when was the last time Katie Holmes had a hit? Tom Cruise? Maybe, her voice did not sound like what they thought tinkerbell should be.

Perez i just don't agree w/ you. She is a good actress. You don't have to have a blockbuster success to be a talented, harding working actress. (Believe me i know, "staving artist, will act for credit"). She is working on many projects (ex. VO on "King of the Hill"). This industry is tough and i feel for her.
Lay off the talent yo! Anyways, Disney is known for dropping folks. Most of the time it's money issues. They act like their always hard up, when in truth their just tight wads.

That is really disappointing. Disney made a mistake. Brittany Murphy would lend that a hit. Of course, no one is going to want to see her replacement.
I don't think that's fair, she's a good actress when it comes down to it, maybe her recent choice of films weren't able to bring in her stronger qualities. Besides she's still the voice of LuAnne so it shouldn't be too big of a problem to have money or maintain a career, she still has voice over work.

I love Mae Whitman! The only live-action stuff I've seen is when she played Ann, the girlfriend of Michael Cera's character. She's done a lot of voice-over stuff, too…listen to her stuff for Avatar and you'll see why she's a MUCH better fit.
