Tatum O'Neal still needs help!
The Oscar-winning actress and mother to tennis legend John McEnroe's children was arrested near her New York City apartment yesterday after buying crack cocaine.
Police say O'Neal was seen making the illicit purchase at about 7:30 p.m. Sunday.
She is charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance.
Tatum is 44-years-old.
You'd think you would have your life together by 44, but she's still a mess!

Supposedly the crack pipe was unused. She had powder & rock cocaine. She thanked the officers for saving her from relapsing and asked if they could let her go. HA!! Yeah, right…
This makes me sooooo sad. Tatum is so talented. I find it odd……that 3 out of 4 of Ryan O'Neal's children has a serious or had a serious drug problem. The only one to escape was Patrick and he was totally raised by his mother. Ryan is the root of his kids' problems.
But girlfriend does need some serious help.
Perez, some people are just as lost at 44 as they were at 16. Especially if they haven't had a life with supportive caring parents.
She is so pathetic I can't stand her, she even chose drugs over her own children and John McEnroe had to raise them. You would think that at her age she would do something about her filthy drug habit. her children must be so ashamed about this. These is simply no excuses for her, she has had so many chances to change her life.

When one gets punched in the face by one's father before the age of 12 for being nominated for an Oscar when he wasn't, it's bound to do some emotional damage for quite a long time.
Seems like she gets occasional acting work. maybe she could take some classes, volunteer, work a 9-5 job. it may not be glamorous, but it would give her a routine and purpose.

This is really a shame. She was such a beautiful young girl and had a really promising career. Although I loved her and John McEnroe hooking up, it was the downslide of her career, and she has never really got back on track career wise or otherwise. Not that I blame McEnroe, because I really liked them as a couple, but such a shame for Tatum. I hope she gets her life together for herself and for her children.

Cocaine is the hardest addiction to stop, and obviously for an addict or even an ex-addict, it's a one-day-at-a-time thing and someone can relapse at any time. Tatum has been through so much and probably still has the psychological wounds from it all that make her keep going back to drugs. I hope she gets help again and can restart her sobriety. She's too good of an actress not to, and she has kids to think of. Robert Downey Jr. conquered his demons, and hopefully Tatum can too.
I grew up watching her and always liked her so much. I feel so bad for her and what a mess her life is. I was so happy when she was on Rescue Me and was acting again. Her disgusting father fucked up all of his kids. Shame on Ryan O'neal… crappy parents create kids with lots of problems. Growing up inHollywood didn't help either.

Ryan Oneal is poison to evryone in his life. What he did to those poor kids. I hoped that Farrah would have been the saving grace for Redmond, but you just have to look at her to see he beat the shit out of her too…so much she couldn't protect her own kid from his torment.
