Fashion icon Yves Saint Laurent passed away Sunday at his home in Paris after a year-long battle with brain cancer.
He was 71.

Yves Saint Laurent was an insipration for a certain chubby, large headed, lisping and crossed eyed cuban immigrant to become a fashion designer who will show her collection of cheap materials and poorly made garmets coming together in one sad mess, at the exclusive American store, Hot Topic.
The fashion industry has lost a true legend! Yves Saint Laurent was a genius and icon. We are lucky that his legacy will be forever remembered on the runways and in fashions magazines across the world! Thanks you Yves for all the many years of Haute Couture….you will be missed!

ysl brought so much to the world of fashion. although we may not all think that we were affected by his amazing works, he has influenced each and every one of us. this man took over the house of Christian Dior at the age of 21 and devoted his life to the fasion industry. he is a true legend, may he rest in peace (l)

He made some gorgeous clothes i was never able to afford are fit into them oh well i seen how they looked on the models. God Bless his family it's sad to go out like that i hope they find a cure for cancer some of my friends has breast cancer hi all of you walk for a cure when the walk comes to your town.

YSL made a huge difference in the fashion world. Taking over Christian Dior's work at age 21 ain't that easy. I don't understand why people are leaving comments and talking shit.. this man was very important to the world and made a huge impact on clothing and cosmetics. The clothing that you and I wear didn't just fall down from the sky.. someone created that idea and made it real.. it's time you people start giving credit where it's due and respect these designers.

A truly amazing genius of fashion. He left an incredible legacy, and pioneered SO many things in fashion. Bo-ho chic? Started with Yves! The loose, flowy "sack" dress? Started with Yves? The pea jacket for women? That was Yves. Sharp-tailored pants suits? Yep - Yves again. The evening tuxedo-inspired suit? Yves. The caftan? Yves. Street chic? Yves. He will be missed, but his legacy will live forever.

Re: jm – Brain cancer is a cancer that has spread from other parts off the body to the brain. A brain tumor can also be benign. Brain cancer means it is malignant Atumor is just a alot of cancer cells in one place. Like a lung tumor or kidney tumor. Its still cancer
