Steve-O has just plead guilty to felony cocaine possession Tuesday in a Los Angeles courthouse.
We can't believe he actually plead guilty!
We're surprised he didn't try to blame it on someone else. That's what junkies do.
But, apparently, he's not a junkie anymore! The Jackass alum is almost 3 months sober.
Good for him!
If you recall, Steve-O was arrested in March after fighting with a neighbor over a fence. When cops arrived, they found narcotics on him and arrested him.
His original plead was not guilty.
As part of his sentence today, the jackass star must attend rehab for two years.
But, on a good note, that means no jail time for him.
His attorney, Barry Gerald Sands, said "Steve is doing great - he has been sober for 85 days. His probation is set for 18 months, but it may be shorter depending on his good behavior and continuation with the program he is in."
Sands also mentioned that Steve-O "is currently living in a sober house and has straightened up.”
Let's hope he really gets the help he needs.

Why is this news? We celebrate mediocrity in this country!!! I've been cocaine free for……..32 years!! (I'm 32 years old) 85 days cocaine free is nothing to celebrate. I celebrate his new, and better, choice to stay drug free, but this is the norm…..does not need celebrated.

2 years is the longest amount of time I've ever heard of someone being sentenced to rehab but of all people I think he needs it. Maybe longer. At least a sober living for awhile afterward.

Perez, a plea of NOT GUILTY is always the original plea, even if you were caught red-handed. Generally speaking, when you enter your plea, the police report is not yet available, so your public defender or hired counsel would not advise a "GUILTY" plea.
So of course his original plea was "Not Guilty". It's a procedural thang.

The way it works is that you plead guilty, go to rehab, show the court you are good and after 18 months they throw the plea away, fuck up within the 18 mos and they enter the plea on the record

I`m glad to hear he`s sticking to it. Also glad to have an explanation as to his behavior. I read his blog and he actually has a mind. I think his crazy behavior is just a cover up, an escape from reality which he has trouble dealing with.
