That's just downright horrible! Driving while drunk is very very selfish. My old boss..her daughter was hit and killed by a drunk driver in 2002. He was more worried bout the blood that she got on his new shirt than her. And he's up for parole this year. MAkes me sick. I hope this guy stays in jail. 4ever

I think the website Perez linked to cannot handle the traffic generated by being linked from this site. It absolutely will not load.
It is a story about a drunk driver in Mexico that hit a bunch of guys on bikes during a race. Killing one and injurying several others. It was right on the border of Texas and Mexico on the Mexico side.

For everyone who dont want to click: Its an image of a drunk driver from Texas slamming into a bunch of professional cyklists in Mexico. You can see them being smashed and thrown around the car. One of them died and the others are seriously injured.
I hope that piece of shit gets the chair for this. Or atleast that they let his ass rot away in prison forever.

This is horrible. There is no way that picture should ever have been printed. A repitubale news source would hopefully know better. As a journalism student, I know that we are supposed to take the content of photos very seriously. The fact that the family of the bikers may see the photo makes it unethical to post. I have to say, you shouldn't be linking to it either.

The sad part is, this asshole is probably never going to spend time in jail. Down here in Mexico, you can buy yourself out of prison every time.If a cop catches someone who´s driving drunk, they can get a thing call "amparo" that keeps them from going to jail. A couple of years ago, a friend of mine was run over by a drunk driver who was driving on the wrong way of the street at 2pm. She was seriously hurt, she has permanent brain damage. The idiot that ran over her, spent only 8 hours in prison because, our brilliant police department "forgot" to perform a DUI test on him at the moment of the accident, so there was no record of him being drunk at the time. Liste to me people, there is NO justice, NONE in Mexico.

I, for one, think it is a good thing Perez posted this link. By the way, it's posted on CNN for any of you who are offended. I can admit that when I was in my early twenties I did really stupid stuff like drinking and driving. I can't say I was drunk or over the legal limit, but I don't think anyone is in the frame of mind to make that call after drinking. It's so selfish, reckless, and unneccessary. Maybe this link will make people think twice about risking their own lives and the lives of innocent victims.
Too bad we couldn't hook this driver up (and others) with some of Rev. Al Sharpton's cattle drives.

Cyclists are rude, dont share the road and create a dangerous situations for both the drivers and other cyclists. There need to be laws that write tickets to cyclists. Most of the time that are just drunk homeless riders ( in brand new stolen bikes)or uppity assholes that believe the road belongs to them. Either way, they should be off the roads that were created for vehicles
