Controversy is engulfing the Clintons…and Bill is not taking it quietly!

The Bill Clinton piece written by Todd Purdum for the July Vanity Fair featured former advisers criticizing the ex-President for bringing negative attention to Hillary Clinton's presidential bid and for surrounding himself with 'friends' who might discredit her campaign.

On Monday, the former Prez let loose…like a wild cannon. He ranted to the Huffington Post that Purdum is "sleazy," "dishonest," "slimy" and a "scumbag."

Not the kind of words you'd expect from an ex-Pres, right?

They're supposed to be better than us…dignified and shizz!

When the HuffPo reporter reminded Bubba that Purdum was married to his former press spokesperson, Dee Dee Myers, Clinton wasn't phased.

Clinton reportedly went on to say, "That's all right– he's still a scumbag. Let me tell ya– he's one of the guys — he's one of the guys that propagated all those lies about Whitewater to Kenneth Starr. He's just a dishonest guy– can't help it."

Sounds a little defensive to us!

He should've just left it alone!

President Clinton's spokesman Jay Carson issued a statement in response to the HuffPo's write up of the encounter with Billy the Cannon, "President Clinton was understandably upset about an outrageously unfair article, but the language today was inappropriate and he wishes he had not used it."

Too late now!

      I am personally very involved with the Democratic party and work in LA. For many years after Mr. Clinton left office I would hear rumors about him having flings with different stars around town. I can say certainlly that the Gerson rumor is true! He has more than one g/f in LA and he is always hanging around town with movie stars. Having dinner and drinks with Kevin Spacey and David Spade, ETC….Its all true, if you notice, Mr. Clinton doesnt deny anyting. He just calls the reporter "sleezy". I love him to death, I couldnt even talk when I met him the first time, HOWEVER….There is a dark side to him and he cant control himself around women. I dont trust him back in the oval office. If you notice, he has been out of control on the campaign trail for the last year. Mr President, will you please save some face, and the demo party and stop acting like a 21 year old frat boy at ASU.

      I saw Purdum interviewed about Clinton's tirade. Purdum said that Bill did not complain about any of the facts in the article. I just read the article last night (8 pages). Bill is out of touch and no one has the nerve to tell him to control himself. That's part of the article about how his assisstant takes care of him and how everyone dislikes him ( the assisstant). It's also about all the famous women he's been seeen out with whille Hillary has been campaigning.

      He has every right to comment on someone who is trying to destroy him politically.

      How can anyone believe that Hillary would be a strong leader for this country, when she can't even establish ground rules within her own marriage.       The DNC, through Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid especially, said the whole race would be wrapped up this week. This is how they wrapped it up, by yellow journalism at its best. Nothing better to shut up a candidate that won't go away than dig up old baggage and run it as news. Next, expect to see how Hillary was the "real" vice president during the Clinton years in articles such as these, to give Obama a graceful way out of putting her on as his vice president. Because even as he's praising her, you can tell he doesn't like her very much.

      Perez, it's not 'phased'. It should be 'fazed'. Other than that, Bill Clinton is a major tool. People always talk about his so-called charm, but I think he's just a sneaky ass blame placer. If Hillary doesn't win, I don't give their marriage much of a chance. She won't need him then. As it is, he's hurting her campaign more than he's helped it.       It is important to note that the woman failed to disclose that she was a reporter and that she was recording him. And Purdham is a sleazy, dishonest, slimy, scumbag. And I like it that he talks that way. And by all acounts that article is, at least mostly, a pack of lies. We don't have to take Bill's word for it. Gina Gershon is going to sue VF if they don't publish a full retraction and an apology.
