I think M.I.A.'s comment is actually good because it challenge Amy, who is addicted to drugs and not living up to her potential. Maybe M.I.A's words will show Amy that there is a world out of herself and that lots of people feel pain and are suffering and doing drugs is wasting your life and your talent, potential and ability. Challenging the status quo is important because our world is so fucked it. It would do Amy and Lily some good to come out of their bubbles. I am not saying M.I.A. is the best one to challenge status quo but atleast some of her songs deal with things like child soldiers, war etc. From what I understand her family had to leave Sri Lanka because of the war there that has been going on for years on end. I think her comment is more striking not against the artists she mentions but against perhaps the corporate music/media that focuses on those two women. Either way, I am not saying Lily or Amy have to write socially conscious music, thought it would be great that they did, but I would like to see more wealthy female artists giving back and being aware of the world around them, they have a lot of power to influence the masses, and it's just the right thing to do, also maybe it would help Amy realize that drugs are not the answer, but are self-delusional. I think this challenge should be met head on, come on Amy…

Criss Angel Responds To Recording Of Altercation! Says Producer Provoked Him!

There are two sides to every story! Here's his!

In light of the audio recording released yesterday that featured Criss Angel threatening to knock out one of his producers, the illusionist's attorney, Ken Woloson, has released the following statement:

"Criss Angel was in the process of firing Joe Safuto on Wednesday when Safuto became abusive and Criss asked him to leave. Criss decided to fire Safuto in response to repeated complaints from co-workers and other magicians about Safuto's abusive and violent behavior and general ineptitude. Witnesses have attested that there was no physical contact and that Safuto very clearly was the antagonist. The audio released to the media is a snippet of a much longer conversation. We are exploring legal action against Mr. Safuto, including for his defamatory and illegal conduct."

Ouch! Sounds like he means business!
