Compared to fucking Nicole Richie and all of the female "actresses" from The Hills, Tara has done SOMETHING and been in some really fun movies, so there! As an Australian I can assure you she is just as much a joke here as she is over in the U.S. People just want to have photographs with her for the sake of it, not because they actually like her. She won't up the ratings of Big Brother and she won't last on Dancing With The Stars. Like someone else mentioned, Australia lacks any real 'celebrities' - the best ones end up overseas. Our celebrities consist of former Big Brother housemates and Australian Idols, so the television stations take whoever they can get.
