Sharon Stone was compelled to apologize one more time on Wednesday for saying at the Cannes film festival that the recent devastating earthquake in China was a result of bad "karma" stemming from the situation in Tibet.
"There have been numerous reports about what I said in Cannes," she said in the new statement. "I would like to set the record straight about what I feel in my heart and end all of the misunderstandings. Yes, I misspoke. I could not be more regretful of that mistake. It was unintentional. I apologize, those words were never meant to be hurtful to anyone, they were an accident of my distraction and a product of news sensationalism. I am deeply saddened by the pain that this whole situation has caused the victims of the devastating earthquake in China."

What unfortunate is that, if you watch her whole statement, what she's REALLY trying to say is that she was touched by the fact that Tibetans wanted to extend a hand of support to the Chinese at the time when the Chinese gov't (and not necessarily the PEOPLE) couldn't have been less kind to them.
So yes, she misspoke. It's also ironic, however, that she'd refer to the Dalai Lama as a good friend and yet have such a uneducated view of what "karma" is.

Let's be real, Tibet thing is never a thing between China and Tibet. It's about China and USA, can anyone see that? Most asians know that. Westerner just thought china tortures Tibet. They used to own all the lands and make the tibetans work like a slave for them. Since people are very religious there, they thought the religion leaders very highly, but they live a very poor condition life. China since have built a lot of hospitals and schools, and these people actually live better, but the religion leaders has no more power. They demand not only tibet is free, also all the area in china where there are some tibetans live will be theirs, it becomes ridiculous.
