Let's go over this again — EVERY time the private sector (meaning you guys) forks over the money for this and other causes - it eliminates the responsibility on the part of the government.
Yes, of course donate if you want - but PLEASE, also write your congressman and state you want your taxes dollars spent on this worthy cause —- not some fake war.
Re: Warden –
Are you fucking kidding me? With all the people who come to this fucking site, the audience this site reaches, why the fuck would he only push one charity, this gives people the option to find out about different charities they may be interested in, that they may have never known about without Perez posting. There are many charities that need help, why single out one and push it?
Dumn cunts, if they are stupid enough to get involved with guys who treat them like a piece of diarrhea then FUCK them .. let them be punching bags. CUNTS! xoxo Carly
Happy Thursday
Of course this organization and its creedo only applies to women. Men including gay men need not apply. Nice use of tax money to discriminate based on sex. If the role was reveresed the feminazis would have there draws bunged up.
Wow! Thank you so much for posting this. Just to you know, the girls and I here in the office saw this when we got in this morning and just wanted to say you thanks. Next time you're in Austin, TX you should stop by the Hotline and check things out.

Thanks, Perez for posting.
As my sister was murdered domestically, I sadly understand the growing epidemic of domestic violence/domestic murder. This is no joke and don't understand why any idiot would make idiot comments on such a subject. Such is life, I suppose…
Anyway.. thanks for posting!
This is a great cause that helps so many people! Please contribute all you can!
thanks for shining some light on an often overlooked social issue. this really affects every demographic: rich, poor, black, brown, white, gay, straight, old, young. Please donate to this important cause- i did.
another day, another perez attempt @ trying to make himself look better. poser.
Thanks, Perez, for posting this, no matter the reason behind it..us "dumb cunts that deserve it" need this hotline…
I personally know there is a need for help with this issue. The sad fact is there is no REAL
I personally know there is a need for help with this issue. The sad fact is there is no REAL help out there. I have called local hotlines and all that is offered is a "safe house". But what happens when the victim owns everything and the free-way-loader is just a fixture there. I was told by police, I had to leave or wait to get a restraining order then just sit up all night and wait for them to show up in the middle of the night and ran-sac you and your home. There is no real help until someone figures out how to make these victims safe.
Re: stacey –
You are not kidding. My abuser was a peace officer. Even though he threatened to kill me. Noone would help.
Thank you, Mario, for posting this item as one of the causes you promote. As someone who lived the nightmare that is domestic violence, I applaud your work to entertain and empower with the addition of this and many other charities to your posts. You are doing a great thing, keep up the good work!
Thank you for posting this!!!
thank you for posting on such an important topic! i've spent over a year just trying to help the cause. jenniferann.org is a great site to donate to teens in abusive relationships!
I work for this hotline… THANK YOU FOR THIS
Rule of Thumb, dude- you are allowed to beat your wife with a stick, as long as that stick is no wider than your thumb.
Thanks Perez. — Readers, if you are a licenced therapist or intern, anywhere on the planet and you want to know more about DV and how to treat those hurt by DV and those who hurt, contact me or write to listserv@lists.apa.org and leave the subject line blank. In the body of the email write: subscribe DV-Treatment and include your first name and last name, for example: subscribe DV-Treatment John Doe. Together, we can help make families and relationships safe for EVERYONE.
My email address is julie@juliestowasser.com
The email list is free. Please consider donating even $5 to the hotline or your local domestic violence shelter. The gentleman is incorrect. DV Shelters also serve male victims just maybe differently due to the numbers. DV treatment providers want DV to stop. Period. Not just for women. For men, too. Gay men. Straight men. All men. All women.
Let's see how easy I can make this for clinicians. Pease freely distribute:
Dear Colleague: The Domestic Violence Treatment email discussion list, sponsored by the American Psychological Association (APA), is a professional list for clinicians who have interest in treating or do treat victims, perpetrators, and others affected by domestic violence. It is open to licensed clinicians and their registered interns, and other select individuals. You do not need to be a member of the APA or be affiliated with a DV agency to join this list. The list is a place where treatment providers can discuss topics such as treatment planning, law and ethics, research, and their own thoughts, feelings, and processes. Our challenging and successful cases can be explored here, as well. It is hoped that as we will benefit professionally and personally as we alleviate our clients suffering by increasing our skills, reducing our isolation, and lowering the potential for compassion fatigue.
How to join: *From the email address where you want your mail sent* write the list moderator Julie Stowasser at julie@juliestowasser.com - please put *DV List* in the subject line. You may be asked to verify your status to ensure that the list remains professional.
ABOUT TIME! FUCK AFRICA. GO USA!
The DV org I work for helps MEN! ALL MEN! GAY OR STRAIGHT! We help men who are victims and try to help men who are trying to recover (and sometimes do (?) find resources to manage their feelings.
THANK YOU PEREZ! No one deserves to be treated with violence. You are not alone. Call the hotline.
Before donating, please be advised that the most accurate scientific studies indicate that between 40% and 70% of DV allegations are not true. Most are filed as a tactical tool to seize control of children and assets as a prelude to predetermining the outcome a "no fault" divorce. Actual DV rates are far lower than hotline advocates suggest. They pretend that allegation = conviction to create the illusion that DV is rampant. Last, hotlines do not help men — in spite of the fact that 200 of the best studies indicate that men are the victim in 51% of cases.

Last, hotlines and abuse centers rarely help men — in spite of the fact that 200 of the best studies indicate that men are the victim in 51% of cases. There are a few that do, but that does not warrant donating to the larger system that denies equal services for male victims of domestic violence.
