Terrance is right, its really demanding to be on B'way. Performs are at their best when they are well rested and relaxed. Eight shows a week is very hard on the body, dancers and actors all have to take are of themselves so that they have a long career. Producers need to treat the performs better! Producers only care about their investors, the performers have to have rights that are protected.
I agree with him completely. Broadway actors are very overworked and many of them underpaid(obviously he's not one of them). That's why people have been striking. They're tired of it.

Yes, Broadway is grueling. But it's where you show your salt as an actor. It proves whether you have the stuff to be a REAL actor. There are no cuts and retakes. It's all live; each and every time. Broadway is REAL acting. Suck it up, or shut up and leave.
If he chooses to never d Broadway again, that's his prerogative and he's free to make that decision. At least he knows his limits, and knows what he is willing and unwilling to do. That's a lot more than many other people who over-commit themselves, especially to roles and duties they're not fit for.
Get over yourself! You are so much more special and delicate than the thousands of actors who would give anything and everything to be in the position and the role you are in.

How about teachers who teach the same subject five times a day, and then the next day they have to teach a whole new thing five times a day, and the next and the next. And there's no one there writing their material, the teachers write their plans. New script every day. BTW anybody who needs to go to the movies or shows to get their emotions worked up needs to get a job where that happens for free. Oh..i feel so sorry for him. I live in a part of Texas where it is nothing but industrial. Men here work 7 days a week 10-12 hrs. a day in plants. My grandfather died @ 105, but plowed acres with his mule at 102. Get another line of work…by the way women have to put makeup on everyday and touch it up constantly, so they can represent their company well. Then we go home clean…wash…do homework with kids…cook…etc…etc!
Broadway is VERY grueling……You try to memorize 2 hours worth of lines and songs and positions…then perform 2 times a night…….It looks easy beacuse of the talented actors and actresses!!!
