As we mentioned yesterday, Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt are not getting their own reality spin-off show on MTV. Yet.
Instead, wallflower Whitney Port will be receiving her new show and will be featured as a jet-setter, going bi-coastal for work, and hanging out with some dumb fun blondes. And that group will include "socialite Olivia Palermo."
What? Who?
Yea, exactly.
MTV is probably trying to create the next Paris or Nicole Richie, but it isn't going to happen with that Olivia chick.
As for Lauren, she had some nice, media-appropriate words to say for Whitney, "I think that Whitney will do really well with it. She is a very likable person."
What she really means is, "Fuck, I hope that bitch doesn't steal my 15 minutes of fame with her new show!"
As for any advice Lauren could give, she said "I would just tell her to have fun with it. She's always made it very clear on The Hills that she doesn't want her personal life involved on the show, so it would definitely mean that she would have to come out of her comfort zone. I hope they do the show."
Whitney herself had the following to say, "As far as I know, I've just been filming for a fourth season of The Hills. Everything is just kind of hearsay at this point. The thought of it sounds a little scary because I've always tried to keep things a little bit private. I just have to take everything day by day."

I loved "LC" on Laguna Beach, and was psyched when she got her own show. At this point, I love Whitney on the Hills and will be psyched to see her new show! I think the whole Lauren thing has gotten stale. There is no new "drama" in her life, while Whitney is such a mystery.

I grew up with Olivia in CT and she is no where close to being a socialite. Her father filed for bankrupcy because he tried to maintain some facade that they were wealthy - when in actuality they couldnt even afford the roof over there head. She is nothing. She is a pretty girl who used her friendship with Tinsley to get invitations - and then showed up at every possible event/opening/show she could so that people would take notice of her. She literally proves that anyone can get 15 mins of fame. "socialite"…really quite hysterical.
