In a new interview with GMTV, the Spice Girl known as Scary, Mel B., revealed that she is going on tour with Janet Jackson.

Says the Brit, "Yep, well I'm 10 songs into my album and she worked with me on one of the tracks. I'm also doing a tour of America with her in September, which I can't wait for. She's a great lady."

Well, there's only one small problem.

She's lying!

Sources reveal exclusively to PerezHilton.com that Mel B. is NOT going on tour with Janet. "Not at all," says our source, who started laughing when we asked about this.

Oh, Mel.

      I think Janet's going to have trouble selling out arenas. There are a lot bigger-name artists on tour who actually sing live. Why go to a Janet concert when she's only going to lip sync? You might as well stay home and listen to her cd. The quality of music is exactly the same.

      Everyone lip-synchs or has a "boost" even the big voices like Celine, Christina, Sarah Brightman, etc… When I go to a show, I want a SHOW and Janet gives just that. The best choreography, dazzling number after killer number and loads of hits. Your money's worth and more…Madonna's shows, which I also enjoy always cost more but never entertain me more…Mel B would not inspire me to buy tickets to a Janet show…

      I love Janet & all… but her musical career is as dry as a bone now. This is a woman who used to sell 10 million copies every album, damn-near, and now is lucky to break a million. This is now a person who hasn't gone multi-platinum in 7 years & we got a bunch of net bloggers still pretending she's musically still relevant. It's hypocritical. If Beyonce were to have ONE album not sell as well as expected, some of you would be saying "She's washed up, she needs to go sit down because she flopped." Yet Janet can spend 7 years, dropping album after album & barely even hit a million, and no one wants to say she flopped. That's a double standard. It's OK to say we love her AND that she flopped. Doesn't have to be an either-or.

      Janet's music not selling the way it use to is very much different from it flopping. If Janet can still sale a million copies just by her being Janet Jackson, then she's not really doing so bad. There are plenty of other artist that don't sale the way the once did, that does not mean that they are irrelevant. I actually think Janet's a great performer and she's still got juice. I just think that it will come out more so when she's on tour. She has a lot of great songs from back in the day. I will admit that some of her recent music hasn't been all that great. I think mostly because she keeps taking chances and doing new things that just don't work for her. But as I said before, I think her tour will be great.

      Mr. H, actually the only point I'm making is that, when you've done what Janet's done, selling only a million copies IS a flop by Janet standards. For example, back in the day, Michael Jordan was the greatest player on Earth. If he were to have a game where he only scored 10 points, that would be considered a horrible flop of a night for a Michael Jordan. However, by lesser standards, someone else scoring 10 points is a really solid night. A million is a flop by the standards of someone who's been going 8-10 million copies every album. Just like it would be a flop if Beyonce were to just barely go platinum. The difference is, if Beyonce sold ONE LESS COPY than she usually does, some people would say she bombed & needs to go sit down. Yet, it's OK for Janet to keeping putting out albums that barely sell 10% of what she usually does, and somehow that's NOT a flop, just because of what she did in the past. That's a double standard.
