I work in an HIV clinic and the drugs are so good that our patients have close normal lifespans, if HIV is detected early and they adhere to their drugs properly. People no longer die of AIDS as long as they are being tested and treated before they get ill. Its now similar to diabetes, you take drugs and live with it.

I took a biology class specifically on HIV retroviruses. The only way we can stop this thing is by abstinence and/or handing out condoms everywhere. The virus mutates too fast for the immune system to catch up and can hide within the cell DNA undetected. There's no such thing as elite drugs for HIV. I work in an HIV clinic and the drugs are so good that our patients have close normal lifespans, if HIV is detected early and they adhere to their drugs properly. People no longer die of AIDS as long as they are being tested and treated before they get ill. Its now similar to diabetes, you take drugs and live with it.
No cure yet though.

I took a biology class specifically on HIV retroviruses. The only way we can stop this thing is by abstinence and/or handing out condoms everywhere. The virus mutates too fast for the immune system to catch up and can hide within the cell DNA undetected. If people are "mature" enough to have un-protected sex then they also need to make sure they are ready for any possible consequences. Yes, its harsh, but that's life

On the other hand, there are serious underlying issues in black communities because of our past.
