      Children's Hope will make sure the money is spent properly. They are on the ground working, not passing the money off to someone else. They can be trusted and will not stop until they are satisfied these orphaned children are doing better. Thanks Perez for the mention!

      Fuck them? Because children have the means, emotional and physical capabilities to fend for themselves. I'm sure if they had the choice to be impoverished or not they'd choose the latter. Children don't choose their government, their parents, or their financial situations.       My beautiful 5 year old daughter was adopted from China, and she already has much better grammar and punctuation skills than some of you idiots! It's because of people like you that no one cares about anyone but themselves nowadays.       Enough is enough! I am allf or caring for the children of this world, but when is America going to stop!?!? We give and give and give to other countries and they never give back. Where was China during Katrina? Where were they when 9/11 hit? Where have they ever been to help us? They shun our country until they need us. Not too mention they own more than 50% of our country anyway!

      For your information, China donated $5 million to the US after Hurricane Katrina, plus many other additional supplies. The US government has donated a mere $500,000 to China after the much more devastating earthquake.

      Furthermore, there are 1.3 billion people in China, not 3 billion.

      Thank you Perez for pointing out the situation with China's orphans. My granddaughter was adopted from China through a Colorado-based agency: Chinese Children Adoption International (CCAI) a year and a half ago. The orphanage my grandbaby came from was in a province near Hong Kong, and was almost bare bones in terms of physical comforts, but there was lots of love from the nannies. The situation in China is even worse now as many families lost their only child, but may be eligible to adopt a newly orphaned baby. Orphanages are overwhelmed. Anything we can do to help should be done, and can be done through legitimate agencies. CCAI does a lot of its work directly in the orphanages and will give money directly to those in need.

      Please stop the hate talk. Ignorance does no one any good.

      My granddaughter was adopted from China a year and a half ago through a Colorado based agency: Chinese Children Adoption International (CCAI). This is a legitimate agency working directly with the orphanages in China. Any money or gifts they receive go directly to a specific orphanage or programs set up to directly benefit orphans. Many families lost their only child in this quake, and some will be given permission to adopt a newly orphaned child.
      My grandbaby came from an orphanage not far from Hong Kong. It was a bare bones institution with few physical comforts, but the babies received a lot of love from the nannies. Fortunately my grandbaby is healthy, bright and thriving.

      People, please look at the childrens' pictures in the paper, on the internet. The
      pictures are heartbreaking. Please donate to legitimate agencies and help the orphans. This isn't the time for hate talk. Ignorance helps no one.

      For your information, I volunteer with the American Red Cross. I have donated money to both Hurricane Katrina, the earthquake in China, and other charities. Who made up the rule that you can ONLY give to yourself or another country? When did charity start noticing nationalities or geography or race or whatever?       A great cause! I read in the news that a mother was bent in an arch over her infant and was found dead in that position (hard from rigor) with concrete piled above her. Her determination to keep that painful position as she died kept her baby alive. Her baby is now one of these orphans. Please help these poor babies.

      For anyone who thinks they have it hard because they can't afford to buy that extra shot in their starbucks anymore or because they have to cut down on their monthly spending on clothes think about having lost your entire family, your home, and every thing you know. Think about having seen your best friends head crushed underneath a slab of concrete. Think about having no food at all, having no fresh water and living in a UNICEF tent with fifteen other victims.
