Martha Stewart posted this photo of a very frail-looking Paul Newman on her blog, from an event a week ago.
According to multiple reports the actor is dying of lung cancer.
Newman and his family have not commented on the reports.

Perez Hilton Bombs at Hot Topic
Perez Hilton may have made it to the top ten of the gossip heap with free publicity from lawsuits, and free appearances on radio and TV shows, but in real life no one cares about him. Last evening Perez held a meet-and-greet at Hot Topic in Hollywood where he was launching his cheap a** clothing line, and NO ONE SHOWED UP!!! HAHAHAH!!!!!!!
A witness who goes by the name Ester said:
"Some freaky lil employee with a handful of wrist bands asked if I wanted to meet Perez Hilton at 6pm! I was like NO, I just ate. NO one wanted wrist bans it was kinda funny."
Besides the embarrassment of having no "real life" fans outside the cyberworld, who launches a clothing line at Hot Topic? That’s trashier than launching a clothing line at Walmart, and yet Perez couldn’t even pull that off. WOW! That’s gotta be a blow to his HUGE ego.

That is very sad if it is true. I lost my father to lung cancer and it is a terribly horrible disease. Also, Newman is one of the few, true philanthropic celebrities left out their. I love his organic products and the fact he donates profits to worthy causes.

I sincerely hope the cancer story is not true. I was not fortunate to be alive when Paul Newman was in his acting prime, but I know he is an amazing talent. He blew Tom Cruise off the screen in The Color of Money. More importantly, he does amazing things for charity and never publicizes his good deeds, unless to raise funds. He is a true humanitarian, not a fake attention seeking famewhore like Angelina Jolie.
Paul Newman is more Actor and more Man in one finger than most of these action heroes are right now. He is THE MAN. Joanne Woodward and him rock, and are everything current celebs aren't.

I don't think he or his family is required to comment, but if the news is true that sucks. I've always appreciated Newman's contributions to and involvement in the Hole In The Wall camps, and admired his generosity and seemingly affable personality.
Does Martha Stewart realize what she's done by posting Mr. Newman's photo? It obviously shows/proves that the man is terminally ill. Do you suppose he gave his approval for her to post these on her website, perhaps as a way to let the news leak out? Or did she decide to do it all on her own, violating his privacy? Just asking.

To the people who think this photo shouldn't be shown — do you think there is something shameful about being ill? It's people like you who make it worse for the sick and dying because they also have to be self-conscious of how they look so as not to have your critical comments. Get over it!
Also, he is a great humanitarian. People need to know that he has never taken one cent of profit from all of his Newman's Own food lines. Every cent of profit has gone to charity, and it has been millions and millions of dollars over the years. He's given far more to help others than many people who are much richer than he is.

i was watching the hustler with mr.newman.when i turned on my pc.and seen this pic.you posted mr perez.he is clearly one of the greatest actors of our time.his resume of films is beyond.he and james dean used to test for the same roles and dean always got the part.newman said.theese are the one of a kind actors.i hope kids of today are lucky enough to catch this true talent.i am 44 and have been a newman since iwas10.god blessed you and us to be able towatch the movies.that this real man made.
