Celebs beware cuz UCLA's not the only place in LA that's left celebs out to dry.
According to a new report, the Feds could find that employees at a lot of L.A. hospitals favored by celebs have allegedly been on the payroll of the tabs for years, based on transcripts obtained of taped conversations among dirt-diggers at the Globe magazine.
The recordings, made by former Globe managing editor Jim Mitteager, capture him talking with his reporters and sources about stars who allegedly have undergone cosmetic surgery and abortions, as well as been treated for mental illness, bulimia and AIDS!!!
Some of the celebs name-checked in the recording are Tom Cruise, Roseanne Barr and Paula Abdul.
A reporter says on the tape, "The people who want to sell the story have physical proof. They want $4,000. They want to move fast because it's Christmastime and they want to get paid."
Celebs were sold out for cheap!!!!
A lawyer for several celebs mentioned on the recordings said he would ask his clients if they want to pursue legal action.
A publicist for Kelsey Grammer, Robert De Niro and George Clooney, said, "It's alarming that this criminal activity could go on so long without being detected."
Some things should be sacred, y'all - like your health and medical records!

The bomb for hot topic isn't the only thing he doesn't report on. He was at a Hollywood event a couple of weekends ago and was denied access to the VIP room because of his "better half" and got mad and left because they wouldn't let him in the VIP area. This was reported all over LA on the next Monday by Gary Bryant and Lisa Stanley, two very popular radio djs for KERTH 101 here in LA. They both attended the party and were given access to the VIP Room and were giving their first hand account of what happened. I thought it was hilarious because we hear about these things with him all the time out here and everyone on the site keeps believing his crap that he's such a celeb out here. As Gary Bryant said, "He's not a journalist. He's just a moron with a blog."

The hospitals and medical centers are liable and should be prosecuted to the maximum limit. Next, each individual who disclosed medical information should face civil law suits to the maximum. There is a line between being an entertainer and a human being with rights and this line was crossed by the medical industry.
I'm not sure who's worse - the hospital employees or the rags that pay them for such vile information. I don't care how famous you are, some things need to remain private. I hope they are all fired.
As wrong as I know it is and agree about the right to privacy, I would still love to know who was treated for aids…

Hey Perez, I wonder why these hospitals and these employees have not been brought under charges regarding the HIPPA law. Enacted in 2003, check it out. For each instance I believe the hospital has to pay $250,000 in fines regarding PHI (private health information)….very isteresting……
whoa–can you say way to lose your federal funding? hospitals run on federal funds (NIH, Medicare, etc ) ifyou aren't compliant with HIPAA regs which mandate safeguarding of personal health information it is a complete breach of federal law…

it is a breach of confidentiality and a SERIOUS breach of federal law–pure and simple- doesn't matter if you are famous or not–your personal health information is only available to hospital personnel who need to know it (and only to the extent that they need to know) –and it is legally protected—it can't even be shared with your spouse without your authorization.

I am a registered nurse. The employees who betrayed the confidence of patients have damaged the credibility of all hospital employees. I am proud to be a member of a profession considered the most trustworthy of all. These hospitals in LA must have a very loose culture of managers and supervisors looking the other way. I hope the feds throw the book at them with heavy fines and maximum legal charges in order that we may begin to restore our honor. Hope they get sued too. What took place in these hospitals is a disgrace. I hope heads roll over this.
