According to reports, the doctor for the kids has been siding with Denise.
Charlie's not backing down, though. Sheen's lawyer sent a letter to the pediatrician telling the doc that he'll be hit with a lawsuit if the kids get pricked.

I think all those out there that just assume vaccines are "safe," forget how many times medical science has done a 180 on well established views. Maybe it's true that some individuals have no ill effects from vaccines, and maybe there is a genetic factor or maybe it's a combination of the two? Maybe it's not the mercury, but the level of virus they give to the patient and the development of the immune system? Who knows? .

I like Denise Richards. I didn't like her before her show. I thought she was what the public makes her out to be…a slut, bitch, husband stealer…..but they are dead wrong. Charlie is the problem and always has been. He's a freak, he's got a bad temper, and he's just as crazy as the Scientologists! As for the immunizations…in the early 80s we used to get about 18 shots, now they give kids like 30 some, so I guess if certain ones aren't needed of the 30 some you shouldn't be required to get them to get into schools, etc. Charlie thinks all the shots can cause autism though, but since not enough research has gone into that he shouldn't just believe a couple friends who preach about the subject(Jenny McCarthy and Jim Carrey). Jenny's son has autism. But she can't prove that because he had too many shots he got autism. Some people are just born with it……..duh!
Anyways, I like Denise, I like her Dad, and I think I see her in a better light now that I've seen her show. She doesn't pimp out her kids on the show. They are on the show very little…usually just playing in the background or eating food while Denise and her dad are talking. It's not like she's Mrs. Lohan and pimping her kids out for money…

I'd like 2 know what precisely the vacinations/immunizations are.Even though I am not a fan of "Thee Shifty Eyed Charlie." However,I would be concerned about vaccinating my child(and myself) since many vaccinations can actually induce the disease one is being immunized against.It's true… Check it out & inform yourself. People often search to try and find some reason why their child is autistic and can´t accept that there is no reason so the easy thing is to blame the shot.

Well as a mother of two little girls, that have both been vaccinated and are perfectly healthy, it's hard for me to say yay or nay on this issue. I can understand the issue of taking toxins out of the vaccines but I'm a bit wary of the whole not vaccinating issue. Some do vaccinate but choose to wait until the children are older. And yes, while autism isn't caused by vaccinations, it seems that for some children, something is trigged once they get vaccinated. As for the person that made the statement that Jehovah's Witnesses don't seek medical attention is sadly misinformed. While they refuse blood transfusions for biblical and healt reasons, they do everything we can to get the best of medical attention as well as seeking out alternatives to blood. And it's not just Witnesses that are refusing blood anymore. Many people around the world are making the decision to seek out alternatives. They are available and they do work just as good, if not better, than blood. But anyway, this issue has nothing to do with religion and everything to do with the health of two little girls. It's a tough call really and I hope they (Denise and Charlie) can grow up and act like two mature adults and find a way to perhaps compromise. Since one wants it and one doesn't, perhaps they can agree on waiting til the girls are older to get them vaccinated.

Maybe the autism rate is so high now because we are aware of the diagnosis and the "autism spectrum" has such a wide range. No one knew what autism or aspbergers was in the 80's or 90's but it was around, now we just look for it more. Both my kids were vaccinated, I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

The risk from early childhood diseases is real. There are risks from vaccines but they are smaller. And autism is not proven - or even remotely likely - to be one.
