If gay marriage is all you've got to be proud of Ontario, than you're pretty pathetic. I live in California and the beginning of the end starts next week when it becomes legal here. Whats next?
    Multiple spouses….animals?

  32. Whamo says – reply to this

    32

Not all of us think this is OK. Gay union yes….Marriage in the traditional sense NO. And don't start calling me a bigot and homophobic. I just believe marriage should be reserved for a man & women.

  33. kathi says – reply to this

    33

Youre right people…thats wonderful news. Now what about legalizing sisters "marrying" their brothers…Or even better, sisters "marrying" their sisters. How about Dad "marrying" his Daughter…How about all you Polygamists, you should have the right to marry as many women as you want. Thats right , its a free country and we all should have the right to do what we want and live how we want. Discrimination is discrimination. Why stop here? Its only a matter of time.

Holland was the first country to legalize gay marriage, not canada

  43. CW says – reply to this

    43

I'm glad to call Ontario home. I remember that when it passed, my Uncle who always seemed a little conservative, supported the legislation. He exclaimed that now everybody had the opportunity to endure the misery of marriage! lol

Anyway, happy anniversary to all of my gay and lesbian friends who have since had happy unions under this law. :)
