Crobar used to be totally underground in the 90's. It does manage to score some HOTT DJs here and there. James Zabiela, David Guetta, Richie Hawtin, etc.

Re: MissT – Taste of Chicago… Is probably the WORST event to recommend to someone. I've lived here all my life and it is only thing I dread about happening in this city. It's a week full of sweaty, unshowered-smelling tourists and sooooouth siders who drag their kids along for the ride and let them run amok, only to annoy the crap out of every good-mannered citizen who enjoys the city politely and hygienically. Shopping in Boys Town/Lincoln Park/Old Town/Wicker Park/Mag Mile, baseball games (Cubs or Sox, whichever you choose), street fests, art fairs, music fests, and fireworks on the lake on Wednesdays and Saturdays are the best things to enjoy in this city during summertime. Taste of Chicago? Notsomuch. I can't even imagine how annoying tourists will be if Chicago wins the Olympic Games hosting bid for 2016.
