McCain says that Cheney was one of the best vice presidents and he wants him in his admin. I think that alone makes John McCain insane.

Hi Perez! You had mentioned that Lily Allen & Lindsay Lohan had never met before, that's incorrect. There's an interview of Lily Allen in the "Daily 10" on E! last year, where she tells Debbie that she had met Lindsay and that she thought she was very nice.

  27. Sugar says – reply to this

Nice! Wake up America, Bush is leading us into war with Iran, McCain will carry out that war if he's elected.
And go see John Cusack's new movie War Inc., it's really goo.

  28. LUVHM says – reply to this

Loved him ever since he was in New Orleans filming Runaway Jury a long time ago. And speaking of New Orleans … DON'T FORGET WHAT BUSH DID TO US, BECAUSE MC CAIN IS STANDING BY WAITING TO FUCK US OVER AGAIN. Don't let it happen, people. You don't want it to be you, and it could be if McCain (Bush III) gets into office

  32. Lisa says – reply to this

I love John Cusack, but not his politics. OBAMA SUCKS!!! He's the anti-christ. And if possible, his wife is even worse. I pray to God that McCain gets elected, we need him, he's a great great man.

  33. kd says – reply to this

This guy is a idiot. I wonder how much he got paid to do that. I am so tired of actors telling me who to vote for. I wish the average man or woman could afford a commercial to actually say what is important. I still have no idea what Obama stands for other than hating america.

  34. 34

Because, y'know, he gets paid to tell us his political opinions and influence how we vote and all.

Back to the set, Mr. Cusak. Shitty movies aren't going to make themselves.

  35. pump says – reply to this

STFU Cusack. McCain was on the Today Show this morning and very clearly stated he feeling the troops are not ready to leave Iraq, BUT, no longer wants to see anymore US troop killed or put in harms way. In other words, McCain, like many others, feel the troops should remain to monitor the situation. Once again, another Hollywood actor who doesn't know what they are talking about and doesn't fully understand McCain's stance troops in the Middle East. Cusack just made an ass out of himself!!

Awesome! Thank you Perez for posting this, and helping to get the word out.

  39. bahaa says – reply to this

Liberal BS. Don't listen to the drivel…..
Ignorant stance, typical liberal distorting of the facts. I am no fan of John McCain, but if you look at his record as a whole and do not cherry pick several positions, you would clearly see a multitude of differences between him and Bush. McCain is much more left of the republican party as a whole, hence the disdain for him amongst right leaning republicans. Just think about it! Why are so many conservatives who are in favor of Bush, not for McCain?…. If views and policies were similar it would be a slam dunk for them. But it's not…..Common sense goes a long way.

  40. LD says – reply to this

Loser - yeah - an actor giving his political opinion like it matters. HOllywood should shut the fuck up - they don't live in "our" world. And our troops are supporting our country - they are there for a very real reason and threat - want to see how safe we become when we run with our tails between our legs.
fuck you - all of you liberal assholes. shut the fuck up

  41. RM says – reply to this

Is that all he has? All actors should stick to acting! people should WATCH the news, ALL NEWS OUTLETS, and not let piss heads like JC feed them the kool aide! I am so sick of working my ass off to pay more and more taxes for people to sit on their asses or front porches doing jack shit! work for what you want and stop relying on the gov to pay your way! don't even get me started!

  42. czar says – reply to this

John is a turd. why would I listen to him - he is reading a script. I am sure he wrote that himself and he did all the research. yeah, right.

    vote Ralph Nadar.

short but sweet THANX Mr. Custack

  44. Jenni says – reply to this

Alas my heart has been broken. One of my favorite actors from my lifetime… now a talking head for the DNC. Why am I surprised? Oh… and actors and musicians don't know crap about politics. It's all about being cool in Hollywood and it hasn't been "cool" to be a conservative since the 50s. In fact, it is very uncool to express any opinion other than a liberal one. I DARE you to tell me I'm wrong with any sincerity.

  45. c.s. says – reply to this

This is to all of you who think Cusack is an "asshole", "douchebag", and "ignorant": your not criticising the actual message because you KNOW IT'S TRUE. so the best you can do is use high school level insults. pathetic yet kind of amusing. well wake up and open your eyes. if you want 4 more years of President Bush in office, go ahead you might as well vote for McCain! America is already in the shit hole thanks to this war, so how about vote a war veteran into office who wants to keep the war running and kill more lives? think of how dumb that sounds. What we need is CHANGE.

  46. Jenni says – reply to this

More people need to begin talking about McCain voting with Bush 95% of the time, it seems the media only likes to talk about that 5% that he broke away with Bush on. That 5% isn't going to bring the change that we need.

  47. jess says – reply to this

i saw War Inc. las weekend. eh it was all right. i mean, i know there have been a slew of War related movies - and some of the documentaries on it are amazing and shocking, like Iraq for Sale.

although i love John Cusack War Inc. is more like a movie to rent then to watch in theaters, there are some funny moments but critics were right when comparing it to Grosse Point Blank - just seeing that movie, its great!

for War related movies, i really did like Morgan Spurlock's "Where in the World is Osama Bin Laden?" - i was annoyed that critics gave it such a bad review. i saw it anyways, and loved it. the movie just shows people from all different ethnicities and parts of the world, all striving for the samething, a better life for there children and trying to survive in a crumbling society.

  48. Jenni says – reply to this

    Re: Jenni
Well my dear, you could not be more wrong. There are plenty of well paid extremely popular actors that are in fact conservative. Bruce Willis, Clint Eastwood, Sylvester Stallone, Kurt Russell, Drew Carrey, Heather Locklear, Mel Gibson, and countless others. It doesn't make them cool or "uncool" it just makes them extremely out of touch with the middle class.

  49. Miche says – reply to this

Who has all the money in the world and does nothing except make art? I love John Cusack and his sister.. probably the whole damn family but supporting a left wing, out of control organization like Moveon.org is stupidity.

  50. Tara says – reply to this

That just makes him even sexier!

  51. jess says – reply to this

by the way - reading the comments on here, really THIS MANY republican conservatives who love Bush, Cheney and McCain read PEREZ HILTON?!? wow.

uh, that's kind of surprising. do they know Perez is gay? i thought all conservative Republican's hated gays, and all that BS. wonder what percentage of those people are against CA allowing gay marriage.

i think it's so retarded gay marriage isnt legal everywhere. seriously, just let people get married! and none of this, separate but equal crap to let civil unions have the same rights. its all in the name and title, marriage. if they want to make civil unions the state way to get "married" and leave the marriage title to the church then fine, then all hetero-married couples should get civil unions too.

but wow..conservate republicans read Perez Hilton, very shocking!

Re: LUVHM – I live here in NOLA, and seem to recall quite vividly McCain soundly and adamantly criticizing the Bush administration's handling of Katrina relief and recovery.

I am a huge fan of people making informed decisions before they vote - but MoveOn is a lot less credible than, say, The Economist, people. Get out there and learn - but try to do so from more balanced sources. MoveOn isn't any better than FoxNews, frankly. Skewed, biased, and roundly known for using small snippets of information to twist an agenda…just like FoxNews.

  54. ana says – reply to this

Aren't you profitting from this War, John Cusack??? Didn't you just make a movie about WAR and profitting. Funny, the rich always want to stick it to the man, but when they are poor, they just want money!!! PLEASE, when is Hollywood going to learn, NO ONE CARES WHAT THEY THINK, just ask Oprah (because of her endorsement of Obama, her rating have fallen).

  55. Cait says – reply to this

To the "True Christians" that think Obama is the anti-Christ…here's a clue. Try not picking and choosing what you read and believe in the moment. The "anti-Christ" is supposed to be Jewish. Last I checked, there aren't any references to him being Jewish floating around.

Quick — what's the difference between John Cusack's career and Corey Haim's career? Answer? Nothing. Except at least Corey Haim doesn't run his goddamned mouth about shit he doesn't know about.

John Cusack is a washed-up douche. These fucking actors…they think we all care what they have to say. When will they learn — the more they talk, the less we listen.

Stick to acting. It is real pathetic when people are so swayed by famous people. Vote for who you feel is the best candidate, not who John Cusak, Oprah, Rosie or Scarlett tell you to. Actors love to bash Bush and McCain yet they praise Obama!! Can you imagine our President, President Obama?? Scary!! Maybe America needs a change but it certainly does not need Obama!!

  69. Bush says – reply to this

  70. word says – reply to this

Re: jess – This is one of the most ignorant posts I have read. Not all Republicans are against gay marriage. Not all Republicans like Bush. Bush is a very right wing conservative. There are many, like McCain that are left wing conservatives. And just remember, America is NOT a democracy, it is a republic, and always has been.

  71. CHANN says – reply to this

Words of wisdom from a celebrity? Nah! The thing is Perez, they have NOTHING against McCain, which is a decent, open mind, american hero. So what is the political strategy agaisnt him? Linking him to president Bush.

And that will work with the uneducated idiots who fail to understand that Bush and McCain have being political enemies from a long, long time.

Remember that Kerry wanted McCain for Vice President? Why? Because the guy is a "liberal republican".-

Hollywood is so pathethic, really. They live in this world of wannabe intellectuals and half of them, never graduated from high school. Sad.

  72. lizzi says – reply to this

Perez, it is not fair for you to be so bias and post this. Be respectful to both sides. You wouldn't insult christians, jews, etc! it IS the same thing

  74. smled says – reply to this

I forget…where did he get his law degree??? Did he even go to college? LEFT-winged loser. Nobody goes to his movies anymore….When will Hollywood get it?? All the movies about the war and their left-winged slant are LOSING $$$$$$$$$!!!! Sorry, Hollywood, nobody cares what you think.

  82. lg says – reply to this

I am by no means a supporter of McCain/Bush or Obama. Obama's first task was to put together a 3 person panel to help him decide on a VP. ONE HAS ALREADY "RESIGNED"…yeah right. OBAMA is goin to run a country…HELLO AMERICA! A three person panel…how did that work out?!

  83. sally says – reply to this

The funniest thing about this is Perez's genuine stupidity. He just hasn't caught on yet that the more he pushes for a candidate, they more he pushes his readers in the opposite direction. That's because even though people like reading his site, most of his readers can't stand him and take almost nothing he says seriously. But he's too dumb to catch onto that.

  84. cat says – reply to this

way to go john!! i've always loved him and now even more.

  85. %^&^% says – reply to this

why would anyone be angry that a "celebrity" is knowledgeable about politics? so they are only there to be entertainment & look good?
john cusack is a very educated man that cares DEEPLY for america's politics. if anything, everyone should give him some credit for actually caring. he's such an incredibly talented actor & he should never stop speaking his mind. his beliefs & the way he is so aggressive with them is a beautiful thing. it's people like him that make good things happen.

Being paid to read a script that pushes biased opinions is ridiculous….get a life. People that vote for a particular nominee because of clips like this are absurd. Thank God this country is not a Direct Democracy or we would be in trouble. For those of you who do not know what a Direct Democracy is…the video above is targeted for you.

    nice try.

OMG! so enlightened now! i'm going to go ahead and follow the flock of people who think that obama even has one inkling of a fucking clue! he has NO experience. and i'm sorry…but just because he's black doesn't mean he knows how to lead a country. americans might want to try and wash away the sins of slavery by electing him, but what good will it do if he doesn't know how to run the place!?

  93. Natal says – reply to this

Stupid fool. The original plan behind social security (that the Republicans formed) was for it to be SHORT TERM AND COMPLETELY VOLUNTARY. It was also agreed upon that it was never to be used as a piggy bank for the government to dip into as they see fit. However, if any of you fucking Democrats did your research before spouting your mindless garble, you'd also find out that it was the DEMOCRATS who decided later to make social security INVOLUNTARY and make it completely available for the government to fund their bullshit projects and waste it all into oblivion so that all of us who have HAD TO pay into it since we began working won't see a fuckin dime when we get to retirement age. Social Security shoulod ABSOLUTELY be privatized and should be voluntary so that we actually have some control over it.
