It says that in Norway today it was decided that gays will have the same opportunity as everybody else to get married. Their marriages will be called just that - marriage, and no longer just partnership. It will also give gays the right to produce babies through in vitro. It's a good day in Norway!

It truly is a great day in Norway. (My country ) Gay marriage is finally a reality, and I applaude it! Finally gay couples have the right to be considered as adoptive parents, and female couples can go through with IVF treatments. Even one of our conservative parties was for the new law.

I don't think americans should be learning norwegian, but it wouldn't hurt to learn some other important languages like spanish, french, german or chinese. I speak english, spanish, portuguese, dutch and french and I can't wait to start my mandarin chinese course!! North americans lack knowledge on things outside their country, which is a shame as believe it or not, America is NOT the centre of the world.
