Elizabitch Hasselbeck's kids have a new bedtime story to look forward to!
John McCain's daughter, Meghan, is working on a children's book all about her daddy that will be released in September.
Just in time for the Republican convention!
"I am truly excited about the opportunity to write a children's book about my father, who is not only a fantastic dad, but also a great American," says daughter McCain.
Cool. Kids will get to see what life was like in the olden days, before most homes had electricity and running water.
Simon & Schuster, the book publisher, said that a portion of its net proceeds would be donated to the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund, which helps wounded veterans and military personnel.
Meghan has no current plans to make a similar contribution, according to Simon & Schuster spokesman Paul Crichton.
What a shame. Why isn't mini McCain donating to a charity? We don't think she needs the money.

Ageism is rampant yet again on this site. To run a country you need to have a wide range of life experience, and to have that, you need to have lived a while, hence you will be older. Anyway, the put downs are probably less to do with McCain's age than the writer's political persuasions. It is interesting how some forms of discrimination still seem acceptable, especially on a site championed by the queen of gay rights. Would Perez feature a picture of Obama and write "black" on it? Of course not, because racial discrimination is publicly unacceptable (and in my country, illegal). While being so anti-discrimination for (male) gays, Perez regularly puts people down on the basis of looks, lesbianism, women in general and age. Even kids are not off limits. Perez shoots his credibility to pieces by the way he chooses to discrimate against some individuals and groups, while constantly pushing his agenda for male gays. I guess that's because rights for gay males affects him personally, whereas the rights of other groups may not. Hey Perez, even you'll be old one day, if you're lucky to make it that far… Would your over-sized ego allow you to be dismissed because of that?

Yes childrens books are great.. but the fact that it has a particular political point of view is kind of dumb. Why are we pushing OUR political views onto little innocent kids? Our kids shouldn't be 'brainwashed' - we should let them be educated on the system and choose for themselves!
