Tail Between Legs

Shia LaBeouf LaDouche is "embarrassed" by the 'slapping fight' video that's been circulating on the internets.

You know, the one where LaDouche successfully provokes a pal to give it to him by calling him a “faggot.”

Shia's rep says, “The videotape that is currently being circulated is several years old and captures Shia playing a game among friends in which he uses a derogatory word toward a friend. He regrets having used the word in any capacity and is very embarrassed that this footage is being seen by anyone.”

So young, so much to learn.

Re: les – Get your head out of your ass, moron - this has NOTHING to do with free speech (which only applies to situations of governmental control). Why this is important is because a celebrity who SHOULD KNOW BETTER let himself get caught. Sure, it was a private party, not intended for public view. But this is 2008, the age of cellphone cameras, Flip video cameras, and blogs like Perezhiton, and celebs like Shia have to realize that EVERYTHING they say or do is potential fodder for the gossip industry.

Of course it's not "fair", but he chose this career path. and as someone else said above, he's intelligent and knows the way that things are in Hollywood. The scary thing is that this may prove that he loses control when the booze comes out - if true, how far are we from the first Shia LaBeouf DUI?

what is the big deal? unfortunately, a lot of people use that word in real life, and no one seems to care. one celebrity uses the word and all of a sudden, he's the devil. he was just drunk and having fun with his friends. jesus christ

To the people that say that this word is used by everyone everyday and it's only because he got caught that it's a big deal. Or how it's OK to call your friends fag or retard. I don't know what narrow minded homphobic world you all live in but those words are NOT used by respectable intelligent people in any context. If you understood how hurtfull these words are, you would probably make a conscious effort to remove those words from your vocabulary. Empathy, tolerance and respect for others really should factor into the words you choose to use in conversation.

This is about money and image, pure and simple. No one cares about all of you people who are saying "all guys that age say stuff like that" - you do not nave a $100 million film riding on your image.

I mean he was a bit messed up when he made the video and people say so many terms that could potentially offend anyone but you just gotta let it go. Re: Idiot – Idiot, it would be easy to return your name calling - for example, only an "idiot" doesn't know that the book burnings in the Bebelplatz took place in 1933, not 1939, but let's get past that. Regarding privacy, I share your dismay over the fact that complacent, sheep-mentality American morons have allowed out precious freedoms to be taken from us, and one of the greatest of those is the right to an expectation of privacy in our personal lives. My concern as o the 'F' word isn't that Shia used it, it's that anyone cares that he did.

As I stated above, it is inherently not fair that public people are held to a different standard than are non-famous people. But that is the ways it is for people in public life, and Shia LaBeouf, is unique amongst Young Hollywood in that a) he demonstrates a high level of intelligence, and b) he has clearly thought through the implications of the career that he has chosen. The real problem is that Shia seems to have a self-destructive streak that tends to negate "a" and "b". There seems to be no other explanation for why someone who has so much going for him can do some of the truly mindless things that he has done.

    47. The T says – reply to this

      147

By his own admission, Shia LaBeouf engages in scatological sexual activities (also known in corpophilia). Shia derives fetishistic pleasure in the presence of defalcation (s-h-i-t) during sexual acts. Sometimes the waste material is consumed, sometimes it is not (I am not sure if Shia is a "eater" or merely a "dumper").
      .
So, all of you monstrously fat shut-ins in your trailer parks and one-room hovels … how does it feel to know that your little "lust object" is pobably chomping on a big turd log right about now??

First of all a video of a person chillen with their own people doing their own thing cannot be used as a reason to cast stones. Everyone needs to seriously chill the fuck out and focus on something more important that one non homophobic guy calling his friend a fag. Seriously…is this the best dirt anyone can find…NEXT

Re: Duh – Listen Duh, you whose name matches your obvious inbred retardation, I wasn't referring to the dates of the invasion of Poland, I was correcting the preious poster on the dates on the book burnings in the Bebelplatz. And unlike you, who has probably never traveled 20 miles from the hog farm on which you were born and where you regularly fuck your mother, sisters and myriad farm animals, I don't need to rely on Google or Wikipedia to learn about the world - I was at the Bebelplatz itself last January.
And it comes as no surprise that you couldn't figure out the simple points I was making about Shia LaBeouf - given that your formal education probably ended when you flunked out of kindergarten. Go back to masturbating to photos of Nascar drivers, you brainless imbecile, and leave the gossip to the grown-ups.

      155

Leave him alone! The video was years ago, he's doing nothing different with friends that any other guy his age does. It's all been made into a big deal over nothing. Typical press!!

    56. Chads says – reply to this

      156

Re: Shiag – I agree with you thst it's way overblown, but Shia brought a lot of this on himself when he told the press that he was going to be different than the other young misbehaving actors and actresses in Hollywood. To the press, that was like waving a red flag in front of a bull - he basically DARED him to find negative stuff about him. That's why TMZ paid his former friend for this video. I want Shia to succeed as an actor, but he needs to be VERY careful what he says in interviews, at least for the next few months.
