Tommy boy just had his lawyers go after Dr. Drew Pinsky.
What'd the Celebrity Rehab host do to piss off the high holy one of Scientology????
Apparently, Dr. Drew compared Tom's mental health to that of a Nazi's. Ha!
Dr. Drew's comments are from an article published in next month's Playboy magazine, where the doc states:
"A lot of people in the public eye who behave strangely have mental illness we can learn from, and much of it is based on childhood trauma, without a doubt. Take a guy like Tom Cruise. Why would somebody be drawn into a cultish kind of environment like Scientology? To me, that's a function of a very deep emptiness and suggests serious neglect in childhood - maybe some abuse, but mostly neglect."
Well, isn't that the general idea behind why people join cults? What's the big deal, it's just his professional opinion.
However, Cruise's lawyers, probably Scientologists themselves, have fired back stating, "This unqualified television performer who is obviously just looking for notoriety is so grotesquely unprofessional as to pretend to diagnose Tom and others without ever meeting them. He seems to be spewing the absurdity that all Scientologists are mentally ill. The last time we heard garbage like this was from Joseph Goebbels."
How is a psychiatrist unqualified again?
Scientologists blamed psychiatry for crimes and even believe it was created by the Nazis.
In 1982, Scientology cult leader creator L. Ron Hubbard even called psychiatrists murders and said they “destroyed every great civilization to date." Adding that "the majority of psychiatrists maim and kill their patients and, by record, in all history have only worsened mental conditions. After all, that's what they seem to be paid to do by the government."
Looks like someone needed a psychiatrist!
This probably explains why Scientologists always try to eradicate psychiatry and are completely against any and all psychiatric drugs.
And speaking of Nazis, we still think Tom's latest flick, Valkyrie, where he plays a Nazi, is totally going to bomb!

That said, Scientology is really no different than many current organized religions: Compel people to believe your version of the truth is the best, Suck their finances dry while tying their sense of self worth to the organization's beliefs and decry them as lost when they try to break loose.

Dr. Drew isn't a psychiatrist. Also, as much as it pains me to agree with Tom's hounds, it is incredibly unprofessional of Dr. Drew to be diagnosing people that he hasn't met. I have an MS in Psychology and I can tell you that my colleagues and I agree that Dr. Drew is pretty much a worthless fame-whore who doesn't have the first clue about mental illness.
That being said, Tom Cruise is a douche.
What matters here is that Tom Cruise is going to be back on the big screen this summer with a MEGA hit!

I'm not a fan of organized religion at all, but those living in glass houses shouldn't be throwing stones. As a gay man, you shouldn't be so ready and willing to discriminate against something that you truly are just not understanding. You made a bit of a misprint there. Dr. Drew didn't call Tom a nazi, he just called $cientology a cult and said that likely Tom was neglected. Tom's LAWYER called Dr. Drew a nazi. Big difference there.

Everyday 2 times a day I drive past a place called BRIDGE PUBLICATIONS.
I was POSITIVE it was some sort of Cult, as a couple evenings a week there are 20-30 young people 17-25ish, standing around out front.
ALL DRESSED EXACTLY THE SAME MALE AND FEMALE.
A quick google'ing revealed my suspicions to be true –
