Nickelodeon must be desperate for some higher ratings.
So much so that they've needed to bring back two or their biggest stars to help out.
Drake Bell and Josh Peck are teaming up again to star in a new Nickelodeon comedy flick.
The pair, who've had four successful seasons of their sitcom Drake & Josh, will be making their third movie for the network.
Back in 2006 they filmed Drake & Josh Go Hollywood.
In 2007 they starred in Drake & Josh: Really Big Shrimp, which resulted in Nick's highest rated movie numbers ever.
And, now for 2008, the duo is set to make a holiday movie titled, Drake & Josh: Best Christmas Ever. The duo will work as a mall Santa and helper and will somehow end up promising a little foster care girl the best Christmas ever.
How cute.
Filming will start in July to be ready for a holiday launch date.
Dan Schneider, the show's creator will return as executive producer, with Drake and Josh joining as co-producers.
What's next for the network? Will they do like Disney with High School Musical 3 and release the next film in theaters?
If it does well, we wouldn't be surprised!

Josh said on Conan when he was on promoting Superhero Movie that he was done with doing shows/movies for Nick even though he and Josh are best friends. I remember Josh said something similar. Why would they all of a sudden go back on their word and do this? Obviously a LOT of money must have been involved.

I am 42 and my 2 kids, 7 and 9 love Drake and Josh. They will be happy there is a movie coming out. I even catch myself watching. They are cute and so is iCarly.

It makes other shows like Hannah Montana and Zack and Cody look like cable access shows…I am 22 and i got hookd on Drake & Josh near the end of high school. I am in my 30's and I honestly think that Josh Peck is one of the best physical comedic actors of our time. He so often reminded me of Jerry Lewis and I found myself easily drawing comparisons to himself and the true comedians of the generation prior to my own as well. I am happy that Nickelodeon is bringing him back!!!! Oh..and my kids will like it as well. lol

I am 42 and watch Drake and Josh with my kids, and they are 2 funny guys. Their sitcom reminds me of the ones I watched in the 80's innocent but really funny. Drakes cute but Josh is the Bomb!!! I wish them the best.

I used to work on a Dan Schneider show with Drake Bell, as well. Dan has no balls and can eat his weight in hot dogs. He's so fucking gross.
Drake? A very cool guy. I always like him. I spent many a hour with him while I worked on the show. I always got a "gay-ish" vibe from him. Even the gay make-up guy todl me the same thing. But who cares? He's a very talented guy.

I am 35 and I watch the show. I agree with whoever said it's better than most stuff on television. It really is. Great news about the Christmas special. I'll be watching it. I think that New York movie listed on that IDMB, or whatever it's called, site is bogus. They need to correct that mistake.
As for Drake being gay. Who knows? Personally I really lean towards him not being. I know he's been dating that Miss America wannabe girl for a long time now. And yeah, it could be a cover, but I doubt it. He does put off a bit of a dainty vibe. He's not the most macho guy in the bunch. But I still don't think he is. He sure is purdy though.
Josh Peck is a real cutie now. In a different way than Drake. But his character on the show is so goofy, you can't look past that. And he will never be the heart throb on the show for that reason.
Nickelodeon never handled this show right and it was their greatest success. I guess we'll have to wait for one of those suck-ish retro behind-the-scenes specials to find out why. I've been watching & enjoying with my kids for years and it's a gem. I don't enjoy much of Drake's music, but he's a better actor than people give him credit for; his film roles since the show wrapped have both been comedies. Josh already IS a serious actor and has several films that haven't been released yet. He's been all over the media promoting The Wackness. Josh has led a very interesting life, has a fantastic sense of humor, and displays a lot of vulnerability and honesty in his interviews. I don't think making this holiday movie will hurt his future at all. Why does everyone have to be so bitchy and pick one guy over the other? They have incredible chemistry onscreen together, but they can't play teens forever. So let's just enjoy this reunion and maybe Nickelodeon can either flat out say there'll be a fifth season or THIS IS THE END and release it to DVD the way they have all their other hits.
Re: p-squ – he's been in a lot of movies that contradict his nickelodeon character: Havoc (NC17 w/ Anne Hathaway) and one which came out like 6 years ago in which he plays a bully and he and a group of friends do something real messed up to this kid in the woods or in a lake while they are on a canoe or something. There's probably more but I don't know.
