The Legal Scare Tactic Sorta Worked

tomcruise.jpg

Dr. Drew Pinsky issued the following sort of apology to Tom Cruise on Thursday after raising questions about Tommy Boy's mental health:

Dr. Drew meant no harm to Mr. Cruise and apologizes if his comments were hurtful. Although Mr. Fields's (Cruise's lawyer) intent is clearly to slander and discredit Dr. Drew, under no circumstances is Dr. Drew making a blanket diagnosis about Scientology nor Mr. Cruise whom he does not know. Dr. Drew was simply using Mr. Cruise as an example of someone who is recognizable to help the public understand. Again, Dr. Drew meant him no harm.

Dr. Drew sorta chickened out!

Way to go, Doc!

Dr. Drew is hot! Oh and he's a real doctor. Tom Cruise isn't hot and isn't a real actor. So who wins here?

Notice Dr. Drew's public apology to Dwarf Cruise. Did Cruise ever publicly apologize to Brooke Shields? nope Did he ever publicly apologize to Matt Lauer? nope Oprah's couch? lol

And I love how Dwarf's lawyer refers to Dr. Drew as a Nazi, lol. POT KETTLE BLACK (scientology dogma=Nazi dogma)

So someone legit calling out Tom Cruise. A doctor? A professional? An expert on HUMAN BEHAVIOR I may add. What is wrong with him we all ask? Well Dr. Drew is on to something and heres why. Tom Cruise DID IN FACT HAVE AN ABUSIVE CHILDHOOD. Just put it in the google search. He has even said it himself. Why is this so hard to believe? Everyone needs to start becoming aware of mental illnesses, they are spreading like wild fires. Unfortunetly many people do not understand mental illness and make fun of those who have them (even when they don't even know why that person is acting strange). We people like the bloggers and Perez.com's and all the other media outlets do not make these situations any better. It is hard enough to overcome mental illness in secure privacy. Imagine being someone whos job it is to be in the public eye to overcome such a thing. Tom Cruise most likely will never admit any of this either. He doesn't seem to be someone who would likely admit that he has a mental illness (which like any other therapy/rehabilitation) is the first step in recovery. Good Luck. I do not believe that is professional by any means for Dr.Drew to make such statements referring to people like he did.

Amazing. Dr. Drew plays armchair shrink twinning Tom Cruise's name next to a faux diagnosis intimating psychological issues, and you people are all on Cruise. Where I come from, that borders on slander. If Tom weren't affiliated with Scientology, which I also think is a cult, you would outraged for Cruise. Cruise has the right to stand up for himself. You KNOW Dr. Drew's statement wasn't kosher. Go back and reread it. Pffft.

      Re: k
Thanks for the warning, k, but I don't worry about this shit. :) This CULT uses scare tactics DELIBERATELY; the more they scare people off, the less people know about their true motives.
They are hypocrits, plain and simple.
      1) They denounce psychiatrists but use a "psychological profile test" as a recruitment tool. (And a means of determining how they can best control you.)
      2) They denounce historical religion, but use "E-meters" and "audits" to discover your innermost secrets. (Sounds a lot like "confession" to me.)
      3) They forbid the use of psychotropic drugs, yet their very own leader, L. Ron Hubbard, was a well-known drug user and died with them in his system.
      4) They say it's all about "generating success in your life," but in reality, it's about learning how to control others, how to leave your body, and how to "save" people by doing absolutely nothing. They claim you'll have "superpowers" in the advanced stages; you'll become a "master of your own destiny," (which basically means you'll repeat words a lot, use hypnotism, and alientate yourself from the rest of humanity).
      5) Their backs go up when you call out "Nazi-ism!" but Tom Cruise himself has stated, "Someday, we'll only be reading about Suppressive People in the history books!" (Didn't Hitler say that about the Jews?)

      6) Oh, and did I mention IT'S ALL ABOUT THE MONEY? :)
Scientology takes donations so they can continue in their quest to "rid humanity of its aberrations," which basically means they want us all to be "perfect," a desire which - obvious to anyone with half a brain - would cause humanity, borne of both good and evil, life and death, man and woman, to CEASE IN ITS EXISTENCE.
No two humans can, or will ever, agree on human perfection, so their vision of a "perfect world without human aberrations" will NEVER HAPPEN.
All that happens in Scientology is the rich bastards at the top of the pyramid, (just LOOK at their logo) get RICHER.
Oh, and P.S. food for thought: the Star of David is two triangles; one up, one down… Scientology has two pointing upwards. A coinkidink?
      I think not.

Yeah? So what. I'm no fan of his Hubbard affiliation, but this isn't about Scientology. Focus. Dr. Drew used Tom's name where he shouldn't have. I'm no fan of Scientology, kiddies, but Tom Cruise is a competent contributor, keeps his nose clean, adds to employment, avoids traffic tickets, pays his taxes, and takes care of his own little corner of the world. Plus I think he's fit and still great looking. :P Now, I'm off to Kokomo…
