Cyndi Lauper showed her true colors on Friday morning.
The hasbeen singer was scheduled to perform on CBS' Early Show but she stormed off and started screaming up a storm.
Apparently, there were some technical difficulties during her sound check and that "set her off."
Instead of waiting for the issues to be fixed, Cyndi just left - without performing.
So lame!

So, I actually really love Cyndi Lauper. So much so that I even saw her a couple weeks ago at the first stop on her tour in Boston. But, at the beginning of her set there were technical difficulties and she was PISSED. . . she was actually yelling from the stage at the technical people and told the audience "I'll be back" and stormed off stage. She came back after that and did an AWESOME set but it was really surprising.

She was on TV this a.m. performing and was great! She is great. She's not Madonna but she has a different approach to music.
I would hardly call Cyndi a "has been", but she is something of a perfectionist. I saw her once and one of her roadies brought out an instrument on a stand and she flipped out on him in front of the audience because it wasn't "the right height" after fuming, making snide comments about the mortified young roadie and pissing about with the thing it finally dawned on her that in her rehersals she had boots on and during her performance she was barefoot so of course their was an issue with the height. She was embarrassed, but she copped to the mistake and apologized to the roadie and the audience. Everybody loses it sometimes.
