first
My Heart Is Broken.
wow……
very sad
sad. second.
this election will not be the same without him. my prayers and thoughts go to his family and hopefully NBC will be able to replace him with someone who showed as much professionalism and poise as Tim did.
I mean that's sad and everything…but people die everyday
first
A real loss to the journalism world. He was quite the refreshing interviewer, a nice change from the conservative radicalism of fox news. He will be sorely missed.
aww, thats so sad
He will be missed. RIP Tim Russert
RIP Tim!
its so sad, russert was one of the premier journalists of our time
sad
i hate how his voice is cracking… so sad. news casters speak for a nation, and (hated or not) he will be missed
I'm crying for him ..and for us, for he was indeed a great man. I'm a Conservative and I loved him for the great son, husband and dad he was and I liked his style … he knew humility when so many know not the word or the meaining of it. GOD BLESS HE AND HIS LOVED ONES AT THIS TRAGIC LOSS!!
my heart is broken, tim was one of a kind and will be dearly missed for his unfailing professionalism and warm heart. sunday morning will never be the same.
r.i.p.
He made it easier to understand and weed thru all the bullshit. He seemed like a good man too. Really sad
Incredibly touching tribute.
He was such a good guy, my heart goes out to all the friends and fam.
I absolutely adored Tim! I cannot imagine this election without his guidance and opinions. He was the smartest person out there! God rest his soul in peace. My prayers go out to his family.
Of course I knew who this man was.. He was the guy from the news who did the poiltics. After watching his tributes all last night and today I am so much more saddened by his passing. what a great man!! I pray for his family and friends. God Bless and enjoy heaven tim!!!!
We live in a time where there is a shortage of honest and fair journalism - sensationalism has sadly replaced it. Tim Russert was one of the few impartial and accomplished political journalists that knew how to interpret politics without bias. He seemed to use the people as his guide, not the powers in Washington. My thoughts and prayers are with his family at this time. What a loss for our nation.
that is so sad.. my heart goes out to his family and all of his co-workers and friends.. he seemed like a great guy and was a great, unbiased reporter. another great irish catholic.
It's really an amazing thing to see Tom Brokaw on the verge of tears. We watched MSNBC last night and Keith Olberman was crying. It's such a sad tragic story. There is no way he can be replaced.
Two steps back for the news industry.
What a loss.
I think he was the only pro I really respected.
Damn!
Tim Russert made it so easy to understand politics, and his passion for the political world was contagious. And on top of all that he was an amazing family man. He is obviously going to be greatly missed. I hope all the young people understand and appreciate just how important of a media figure he was to our generation. RIP and condolences to his friends and family.
aw thats sad! RIP Tim!!!
you'll be missed!!!
What an important lesson this should be teaching us. It is not what designer you wear, what car you drive, the size of your waist or how much money you have that defines who you are. What ultimately defines you is the love and respect that you leave behind when you pass.
Mr. Russert will be missed and he will be remembered. May we all live our lives as fully and truthfully as he did.
Will miss not having breakfast with him on Sundays. RIP
When I heard about Tim Russert's passing, my heart dropped. For someone aspiring to be a journalist, he was a huge inspiration to me. My heart goes out to all of his family, friends, and colleagues.
So, sad
RIP TIM RUSSERT, We need to make him a Memorial and make June 13th a National Holiday.
RIP TIM RUSSERT
TV will never be the same without him. I think I'll just leave it off forever now.
so sad :[
This world was a better place because of the man that Tim Russert was. We can all learn to be better quality individuals because of him. His grace will be missed.
How sad…It's terrible when this kind of stuff happens. Especially a sudden tragedy. It's happened to my family and I completely feel for his and my heart goes out to those around him; family, friends, and loved ones.
Why couldn't it be someone more deserving, like Coultergeist?
That is extremely saddening…..such a talented and well respected man. *tear*
definitely got to know him this year with all the election coverage, and the debates. He seemed to be the only reporter genuinely excited about politics, his obvious passion in life!
so sad that he had to pass away just as he was becoming my favorite face on MSNBC.
rest in peace tim!!
what a fucking tragedy. Tim was a classy down to earth even handed guy, and I only know this from the questions he asked while on air.
That was sad, I actually teared up a little. Western NY has lost one of its favorite sons.
I feel so bad for Tim's father, wife and son. One never knows what tomorrow brings. So live each day fully……..
Well,…thankfully, this man lived a wonderful life…doing what he loved, and standing up for what he believed. A strong christian, with strong christian values…this man is certainly greeting S.t Peter at the pearly gates. He was one that was not afraid to "go there" and ask "those questions"…anyone that poses that kind of threat to the anti-christ's campaign will face the same sad demise. IT is a strong message to send, but the Obama train is steaming with hellfire. …and and all that might cause a bump will have to deal with the devil. God save us all….
I really liked Tim Russert. Truly an intelligent and fair reporter.
Tim was wonderful, R.I.P.
Brokaw - 100 % Class
Who he was just makes you want to be a better person and realize that life is too short and you never know when you will see someone last.
there should be at least 1000 comments here. there's more comments on the spencer video clip. people are fuckin pathetic no wonder very few people's lives are celebrated after they die.
I'm noticing a pattern. First Teddy gets a brain tumor, then Iowa floods like crazy along with part of Illinois, now Russert has kicked the bucket. It's almost as if God is punishing those who are advancing the antichrist Obama. Watch, next Oprah is going to blow up and get really fat again.
Re: wow –
He just makes me want to declare elections over before they are so that people will stop voting against my candidate of choice. But I am not slimy enough to try to unfairly influence elections. His jizm wipers Chris Matthews and Keith Olbermann can take care of that.
Re: kimbo –
Have you heard the expression "Get a Life"?
Re: are –
You should learn not to overeat till your heart explodes.
Sad day in journalism. RIP
I'm going to miss Tim, seems like an old friend. It is also the death of MSM.
Re: UrDum – your name is what you are. fuckin dumb. you need to die now, no one will care. It won't be all over the news. Keith and Tim make you look like you're still in 1st grade and never left the trailer park, because you haven't. Leave the voting to the intellectuals, google that word so you know what I'm talking about. I don't go back and forth with trash
OBAMA '08
R.I.P Tim
one of the best people to walk this earth follow his example
Re: UrDum – you obviously need to get a life, stop responding to everyone. no one loves you so just go sit in the corner and think about why.
NO ONE CAN SAY THE SAME ABOUT SHIT O'REILLY OR ANY OTHER REPUBLICUNT
tim was classic
He was a paid puppet of the Bu$h/Cheney regime.
Good riddance.
Re: wow –
Interesting that your measure of whether a human life is "important" or not is based on whether one's death makes the news. So now that we've established that you're a sociopath, I just want to address your idea of who is eligible to vote in the US. Unfortunately for you and the very deceased Mr. Russert, our Consitution actually guarantees the right to vote to a far wider swath of the citizenship than you would prefer. This is actually better for you than you may think, however, because if voting were only open to intellectuals or even those with a modicum of intelligence, your Mr. Obama would be ineligible in all "57 states". As would you.
Re: DUH –
I was in the corner and I thought about it. U r Dum.
oh my…this man's voice is on the verge of tears :'(
He was a fatso that never got off his ass. He died. It's what happens. The clock is ticking Mario.
Re: jobri – Funny that's what I said. He wasn't going to back McCain and that's why they had to silence him.
Re: jobri – Fuck you! You're a heartless, piece of shit. Shame on you!!
I couldn't understand a word he said. I don't speak speach impediment. Maybe we can get a retard in here to translate to normal people. Paging Chris Matthews! Paging Chris Matthews!
May God rest his soul.
I'm surprised there aren't more comments also. The man is irreplaceable. He did tremendous research and asked the tough questions, so people would get a lot out of watching his interviews. He made that show singlehandedly what it is. A terrible loss, especially during an election year.
Huge loss…
A lot of people can"t understand this but…
Tim Russert was sexy as hell!!!!!!
His beautiful blue eyes, cleft chin and arched eyebrows. The guy was a political piranha. Yet outside of the political journalism, he was a different man: a softer side of him.
Nobody should ever fucking die at work. I mean, what the hell?
This is such a crime at too young of an age.
What a damn shame. He will be greatly missed…
PEREZ, THANSK FOR BRINING MY AVATAR BACK. I LOVE YOU, BITCH!!
XOXOXOXOXOXO
he will be missed by all of buffalo and western new york
How sad and pathetic that a post on a pic of Rumer Willis gets 700+ comments and the passing of someone who actually MATTERED is barely pushing 70. We need a little perspective people! I'll miss his dry erase board this November (and since the overwhelming majority of the readers here won't know what I'm talking about I'll leave it to the 70 commenters to go "me too")
Re: Stanton Assassin – have a some freaking respect douche.
Sad my thoughts and prayers go out to his family & Friends.
So sad about Tim. So sad that only 70+ of us perez fans actually know or care enough to comment about this sad passing.
:)
Thanks for posting that, Perez . . . I hadn't seen the entire original announcement.
