Re: Whate – shut the fuck up, you can go next
i def would not call this emotional. it seemed very "matter of fact." that said - i think tim russert was the premier political reporter of our time. there will be no other like him.
Why don't you all tell the American public, that if Tim was a Vegan he'd be alive today. Eating meat, dairy and poultry products causes heart and cancer problems…..TELL AMERICA THE TRUTH!!!!
I am broken in half. Loved you, Tim Russert. Loved you. Truly the best journalist in the United States. We'll never be the same. -Kimberlyl
Re: As If – A true ignorameouse you are. Be careful, the Darwin theory is alive and well and clearly the planet doesn't need you.
No matter if you're conservative, moderate, or liberal this universally effects us all. Tim Russert was not only one of the best reporters of our time, but also probably the best political mind in the country. This news cast by Tom Brokaw is absolutly heartwrenching, and I can't help but instantly feel the void that will be there in my election coverage come November. Just a couple of weeks ago I remember his reaction to the Barack Obama nomination, I'm just glad he was able to see that historic nomination. My thoughts and prayers go out to his entire family, especially his son, Luke, who literally just graduated from college. I've always heard how important Tim's family was to him, so I'm just glad he was able to watch his son graduate from such a great school (Boston College). Rest in peace Tim Russert, you will be missed.
tim was just a good person - the salt of the earth. yes we are mourning a great journalist but more than that we are mourning someone who represented everything that is great about his country. you could just tell how much he loved life & how it was almost as if he couldn't believe he was living the american dream. he wanted to share everything w/ us from his humble upbringing to his disbelief about all the prestigeous people he met & had the opportunity to interview. he knew how blessed he was & obviously worked so hard at his job to keap us informed. to hear those that worked for him speak about what a great mentor he was is so touching because so many people in a position of power are just mean & arrogant. let us all learn from tim not to take the gifts we are given in life for granted & to never treat someone as if they are beneath us just because they are not given the same opportunities or perhaps don't have the same luck as we may have in life. RIP Tim - you will be missed.
I just wanted to add how said it is that more people comment about Spencer Pratt than take the opportunity to bid farewell to a true American patriot. I am as conservative as they come but still loved & respected Tim. It was great to get your dose of politics from Meet the Press & his does of humor on the late night shows or when he was giving interviews pertaining to his books & his dad. RIP.
how shocking, its actually complete bullshit it even had to happen…rest in peace, you were awesomeeeeee
R.I.P. Tim….We will all miss your unbiased political journalism. Prayers and wishes of comfort to the family.
i'm so sad he sure was loved by many people all over the world rest in peace tim . i'm watching meet the press remembering tim russert and they are talking about his last book "big russ"from the book to his son "remember luke i love you and i'm proud to be your dad "woow that's soo sweet .i only wish my dad left me with those words .i pray for big russ and luke and his wife i don't know her name. and all of you loosers saying who cares if you don't have some thing nice to say don't say it all .tim was loved if you don't like it drop dead and go to hell
Re: Stanton Assassin –
If you watched some of the news you would had learned he passed a stress test not even a year ago. You are so rude and you need a life if you can say something like that about some that just passed a son has lost his father and a dad has lost his son be more respectful!
no sympathy here. THIS MAN WAS A REAL GOOD POLITICAL PUNDIT, TIL HE SOLD HIS SOUL. ITS PRETTY SAD THAT HE WORKED HARD ONLY TO SELL OUT TO OBAMA. MY GOD FIRST KENNEDY, THEN BYRD, THE AGONY OF THE STATE OF IOWA(WHERE IT BEGAN), AND NOW TIM. LOOKS LIKE GOD IS ANSWERING THE REVOLT AGAINST CLINTON. IF I WERE OBAMA,AND HIS FOLLOWERS ID BE SCARED. NO ONE SURVIVES THE WRATH OF GOD
I don't live in the U.S. so I don't even know the guy, but it's sad
Re: gregg –
You are exactly right! I will guarantee you that 99.9% of the people who are coming on here and saying how he was so fair and unbiased and wonderful are…Obama supporters! They're not known for their ability to see the truth. Russert got really weird at the end and I think actually he didn't die from a heart attack but that he actually suffocated from having his head so far up Obama's ass! Oprah's next! Look out.
Jobri's post is a disgrace and obviously never watched the show.
Jobri - you are scum!
The few people on here that are saying the rude things about him. You are awful I hope you would want more respect when you pass away. Give him the resect you would want when you pass away. RIP Tim….. "What a Country"
Re: rudy – I'm a Hillary supporter that's going to vote for Obama.
Stop giving me a bad name, douche.
Re: Whate – Their deaths are all over the news you twat.
Why are you advertising it on this site? Shame on you.
I agree about Tim's deplorable performance AGAINST Hillary and overtly in favor of Obama in the February debate. It was vicious and biased, and was rightly parodied on SNL, and it's of course, never been mentioned in this weekend of tributes. It's part of the record, and it shows the "good ole boys" in the media, led by Russert, and the good ole Irish Catholic boys at NBC News, led by Russert, were going overboard to make sure Hillary never became President. This is very important to NEVER overlook about the man and his actions.
It won't be forgotten that he was a biased, sexist psuedo-journalist who interfered with the election process in more ways than one. Nice way to go out as an un-democratic propagandist.
that is so sad. i didn't know who he was, but he will be missed!
i would have hated to be tom brokaw, having to announce the death of a friend. :[
I always listened when Tim came on during the Today Show. He somehow always made it seem like things were going to be okay. I'll miss him.
for the idiot who keeps posting that he died b/c he supported obama and ted got cancer b/c he supported obama, etc: stop being so self centered… the 1st thing on God's mind isn't American politics… it's English
And he was awesome by the way as is Chris Matthews (donna is a moron)
Chris Matthews will be long gone from MSNBCOBAMA very soon because he won't have his daddy to protect him and he is too stupid and insane to be picked as Fatty O'Womanhater's replacement. Wait and see as the shit starts hitting the fan because this guy dying just opened up a big ole can o crazy at MSNBCOBAMA!! These people all hate each other and the pot is now on full boil.
I work at NBC in Washington and I was at work the day this happened. It was pretty crazy. Driving into work tonight, the front of our station is COVERED with balloons, flowers, signs and cards. It really is amazing what an impact he had on so many people that they took the time to drive to the station and create a memorial for him. RIP Tim.
Tim was such an honest, wonderful man — he will be SO MISSED.
i live in buffalo and i was a tht ecandlelight vigil last night for Tim Russert, so sad.
ps. there are so many ignorant people leaving comments on this site, haters who have misearble lives and came on here to leave rude and disrespectful comments, if any of you could be 1/2 the human that this mas was the world would be a better place, have fun burning in hell assholes.
RIP Tim. Buffalo will miss you.
My condolences to the family. A truly unbiased journalist and all around good guy. He will be greatly missed.
I heard about Tim Russert's death this morning. Being a journalist myself, he was one of the few that I looked up to and aspired to be like. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends. He was a man of true character and he will, as Mr. Brokaw said, "be missed as he was loved…greatly." May the four winds blow you safely home.
For those of us who admire real journalism in a country where it's becoming extinct, he will be missed. Tim Russert was a true American Patriot!
The amount of ignorance on this reply board is astounding. The anonymity of the internet never fails to make people free to embrace their inner idiots. Cosmic retaliation for supporting Obama? The only one getting what they deserve is, frankly, Kennedy. But supporting Obama is certainly not his biggest sin.
Tim was a good man, which is rare. Not perfect, but who is? He worked hard, took care of his family, loved his hometown. He did more for Buffalo than any other man I can think of in recent history and the city loved him for it. He made an impact on US politics that will not be forgotten for a long while. His opinions were valued, his points legitimate. Tim loved what he did and the country benefited from it.
He was a good man. And he will be dearly missed. My heart goes out to his family and friends.

How is this appropriate? If you were going to try to hijack a post, why not pick one about The Hills?
