Happy Father's Day!
Our dad, sadly, isn't around anymore, but….
This weekend we had the very special opportunity to meet our beloved Poppa Elton, whom we love love love.
We feel this connection with the legendary Brit. He's definitely a kindred spirit! From the wild outfits and his propensity to say even wilder things, Elton was like the original us, only infinitely more talented.
We took the whole fam to see Poppa's spectacular David LaChapelle-directed show at the Colosseum and were able to meet him after.
Elton welcomed us to his dressing room with a big, genuine hug. He was so warm and sweet and all-around more lovely than we could have hoped for.
Cuz, as we all know, sometimes when you meet people you admire, they disappoint. Thankfully this wasn't one of those instances!
Of course, we had to talk music with Poppa Elton, who is always up-to-date on the latest and greatest.
He's loving Hercules and Love Affair. We're loving Alphabeat.
We discussed Madonna - they're cool - and we also talked about Lily Allen!
Did you know that Elton has his own management company that manages other artists??? Yup! And the trainwreck known as Lily Allen is now one of his clients.
We told him he has a lot of work cut out for him to turn that mess around. We shared some laughs.
We shared more hugs.
We had a great, great time!
Give lots of hugs to YOUR dad today. And thank him from Perez for raising such a fine, super smart, super sexy, super amazing person like U.

I love Elton John and believe he is one of the true musical talents of the past decades. Saw him in concert a few years ago with the band consisting of most of guys he recored "Good-bye Yellow Brick Road" with. No need for special effects, dancers, backing singers, etc. They just got up on stage and performed their music. Fantastic! It's great you like Elton, Perez, but why no bitchy comments written all over him about his age, looks and sexuality? You do it to others constantly, especially women. Maybe because he's gay, that makes him off limits. The picture makes me laugh. You are such a suck up!

I hope Elton knows how much he is loved and respected. I never saw him in concert until last year and I had tears in my eyes when he appeared. It was like finding a long lost brother.
Yellow Brick Road got me through the break up of my first marriage. He sang it that night saying he hadn't used in concert for a long time. Tears again for me.
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE him. I am going to see him again soon. My grown up daughter is thrilled I am taking her.
