The interview was a brave and true dipiction of a torch being carried from generation to generation. A son remembering and knowing his father loved him is so amazingly important. He will be missed.

I watched Luke Russert on the Today Show….I was amazed how well-spoken and put together he was after this tragic situation. He spoke so nicely of his father and will definitely carry on everything his father stood for.

It was so sad watching everything about Tim Russert this weekend…he was a great all-American guy! My prayers are with the family and his friends.

What an amazing guy. It's amazing when someone is able to channel all his grief into something more positive and celebratory, like Luke was able to do in this interview. Not just anyone can talk at length about a lost loved one without breaking down. I know I wouldn't be. I don't think anyone would have blamed him if he would have burst into tears, but the way Luke was able to maintain his dignity and a sense of professionalism while still exhibiting all the passion and love he had for his father envoked so much of what made Tim Russert who he was. My thoughts go out to Luke and his mother and gradfather just as I'm sure many other peoples' thoughts and prayers are, but with the strength Luke showed on the Today Show, it looks like he will be just fine.

If there are other 22 year olds out there: Learn something from Tim Russert and his son. Turn off this website and go do something with your life. No disrespect meant to Perez. But when you are 22 years old you can catch the world by the tail. Go on now, don't show up here again until you've done something good for yourself or someone else today. What are you waiting for? Go, shoo. You can make a difference.

      Re: wildg
I agree that the coverage has been extensive, but this is one of those few times that it is actually deserved. We know the media has a short attention span and extensively covers one thing and then forgets about it. But this particular story has been covered so much because of the personal impact that this man has had on all of those journalists. It seems a little self serving but you have to understand what kind of impact Russert had on Washington politics, power and friendships. I had the honor of working with him at NBC. He was a great person, simply one of the best. To say he was one of the premier journalists of our time is an understatement. And he was so nice. I thought it was actually amazing that the other nets (CNN, FOX) covered this in spite of the competition, admitting that Russert was the "king of Washington," which was said by FOX News anchor Chris Wallace. I think at NBC the coverage was obviously of a personal nature as they covered this story while coming to grips with the situation and grieving. But it was a fitting tribute for this influential man. I think in the coming weeks, the media educate the public more about sudden cardiac arrests and also who will take over Meet the Press.

I was completely impressed by the way Luke handled himself on The Today Show. I think that he was incredibly posed and collected for someone who just lost their father that suddenly. His family should be so incredibly proud of the kind of man that they have raised. My heart aches for their family and not just because I've watched meet the press every sunday for as long as I can remember. Tim Russert was one of the rare gentlemen left in a occupation that's now filled with screaming, lies and ratings blood lust. He was an absolute class act and it's good to know that his dad imparted those values onto his son.
