Women are always considered "on their high horse" when they speak their mind - news flash - women are allowed to have opinions! And they are allowed to have opinions that other people don't agree with. And they don't have to spend their days being "grateful" for everything that comes their way. That is just another way of saying that women should stay in their place - seen and not heard - only useful in service to men.

This season on Grey's Anatomy she really didn't have any worthy of an Emmy scenes. They just didn't give her the material. You can look back on previous seasons are see just how great she is but the writers didn't give her anything to work with. I don't think she took the highroad at all, there wasn't an Emmy performance for her in this season.
