Insiders also say that Donald Trump's public proclamations of wanting to help Ed out are probs all part of a publicity ploy.
The Donald supposedly has never approached Ed privately to offer help.

When reached for comment, Ed's rep denied that Pammy's spending is the reason for their troubles.

The reason I believe it is because when asked about it, Ed, himself said, "Well, when you have more money going out than coming in……" and she brushed right over that and of course, Larry King, Mr. Non-Confrontational himself, ignored the statement entirely. He has made a very good living over the years. Did anyone truly believe that his young wife married him for love? She's spent him into the poor house and that's a fact. I feel so sorry for him. At your age, you SHOULD NOT HAVE A MORTGAGE or even be working FOR A LIVING, especially a 6.75 million dollars house. It is ok to work at your age, but a person who made as much money as you did should consider that play money or buying the grandkids gifts money.
