Angelina Jolie Announces That Her Next Movie Will Be...
Maleficent!

Angelina Jolie was at the Berlin International Film Festival today, where she is screening her directorial debut, In The Land Of Blood and Honey out of competition, when she announced that the long-rumored project was next up for her - even though she didn't specifically call it by name!
She explains:
"I haven't acted in two years, and I haven't done anything else since this . The next thing I am looking at is a Disney movie. The best thing to find that balance is to do something that is just for children. You know, you find different ways to make things matter. When, for example, you do fun action movies, they are empowering for my daughters."
And since we've gotten word that the Luc Besson movie she had been eyeing seems to have stalled, and Maleficent recently got Robert Stromberg as a director, we think it's safe to say that the Linda Woolverton-written adaptation of the classic fairy tale is definitely where we'll see her next!

On this one, I call foul. The songs are not nearly similar enough, and the fact that the song "La Vida Loca" was previewed in March 2007 for an industry audience (before the gig that Chris Martin may or may not have attended) seals it for me. The similarities? Just not there, but a great publicity stunt for a little-known band.
I think it sounds slightly similar to Coldplay, but nothing that would warrant me to say that Coldplay ripped them off. Not to mention, if they did rip that band off… Clearly Coldplay did a much better job with the direction of that song than the other band did. Otherwise, don't you think they'd be in Coldplay's position?

They claimed they "think" they saw Chris Martin in the crowd at one of their gigs and therefore he stole their song. Turns out that Chris Martin was in a recording studio in England at the time… not to mention the fact 'Viva La Vida' was demoed by Coldplay in the studio well over a year ago, well before this nobody band claimed Chris came to their gig and stole their song.
This is just a bad publicity stunt by a nobody band… it just smacks of desperation!
