Joan Rivers Kicked Off TV Show!

Joan Rivers stunned TV audiences in Britain on Tuesday when she appeared on U.K. chat show Loose Women, think The View across the pond.

Well, the plastic surgery-loving comedienne dropped a few curse words when talking about Russell Crowe and everyone got their panties in a bunch.

Joan warned the show, "get ready to bleep," but the show is broadcast live.

The co-hosts immediately apologized for Rivers' little outburst and during the commercial break she was asked to leave the set and not invited to come back for her final segment.

A spokesperson for the show says, "Guests are always briefed that it is a live daytime show and are reminded not to swear or use inappropriate language. An editorial decision was taken that Joan Rivers should not appear in the final part of the programme. We would like to apologise to Loose Women viewers for the inappropriate language used on today's show."

Rivers, for her part, finds it all quite funny.

"I said: 'I apologise.' Everyone apologised. It was hilariously funny," she says.

Joan adds that this was the first time she had been removed from a TV show in 40 years and she was "thrilled".

What she said was unnecessary, live or not. She has her opinions but she's on a TV show and has to watch her words!

No it means the same thing and they do have a few whores on it, Denise something or other(don't know her last name) is a massive whore who has cheated plenty of times on her husband then there is Coleen Nolan who can't stop going on about her ex.

But generally they are just a bunch of sexist miserable old cows, if men said the same things they do they would get knackered for it.

Re: Aweso – Get our panties in a bunch over anything, how exactly? This is coming from the nation that went crazy when janet jackson flashed her nipple. When Miley Cyrus done some wierd photos. We have alot more swearing and sex etc on TV than u ever had. American celebrities cant believe how laid back the shows are and are always scared to swear on them cause there not allowed back home. This show was broadcast at 1:30pm, just a bit early for Joan maybe. Plus the title maybe a bit wierd but its a great show, and it doesnt mean there whores, it just means there free with there views and dont hold back

God how ignorant are you americans
"the brits always get out hand downs" yeah right… what language do you speak? who did the pop idol thing first? we did.

as for the ignorance of the language… its astounding.

and lets just say this… the british cencorship is sooo much better the the american, after nine we can say whatever the hell you like. when british people go on a show called jonathan ross they are usually shocked at what he can get away with.

dont be so fucking up yourselves… every country has their ways and yes we are eccentric but at least we embrace it rather than trying out hardest ot be cultures when your entire history spans like 3 lifetimes

Re: Laver – Actually, swearing is allowed on British tv after 9pm , when it's assumed a young audience won't be watching.

The television regulatory body in charge of ensuring a standards of acceptable conduct are maintained during pre watershed (after 4am and before 9pm) hours will probably fine itv heavily for Joan's out burst. , she apparently was briefed fully prior to appearing on the show that it was live and swearing is not permitted on pre-watershed tv.

If she'd pulled something like that on American broadcast network tv( she probably knows better) there would have been an uproar and she'd probably be black listed as a live guest on any network..

So no , not prudes..but there is a time and a place for everything..

I personally found her outburst to be a refreshing jolt to the otherwise fairly benign but entertaining proceedings that is “the view uk…

Some might be whores but at least there funny whores, like when Coleen and Denise get started there great. I haven't watched the View but i cant see it been amazingly better than our version. Maybe they get bigger A'List stars but we get alot of British talent, and b4 some american picks up and says there isnt any, there is lol. Plus i think the ladies were fine with Joan, they laughed it off, they obviously found it amusing, just not the producers

Christ, that's like saying: "Let's show people FUCKING, but you can't say the word 'FUCK.'"
The world is full of idiots. No wonder the morals of our young people are falling into the toilet. What a stupid and hypocritical message we're sending.

It was soo obvious she was building up to that from quite early on in the interview ^_^

Americans tend to let loose with the expletives when they get on British TV… Probably because of the draconian fcc regulations that treat every viewer like a prudish moron with no appreciation for a bit of colourful language after a certain time…

      93

I love loose women! The fact is they talk about anything and let themselves go. Its just random, perfect for cheering up.The Joan rivers incident was funny and to be fair, not bringing her back was perhaps a bit harsh,as I'm sure many people have let words slip that they shouldn't have and she did realise that it wasn't bleeped afterwards.
On another note, I think its unfair that Loose Women and The view are being compared by people who have only seen one of them. I cannot compare as i've only seen loose women.

    94. lisa says – reply to this

      94

i knew she was going to swear, some people just can't help themselves lol
i didn't realise at first she was kicked off the show because most guests that appear on looose women are only on for about 10mins anyway.
i have seen people swearing on day time tv shows a few times, its quite funny & i don't think that many people get offended by it.
we can get away with quite alot on british tv if its done after a certain time. its quite funny to see sometimes when they have american guests on late night talk shows here and they always ask if there allowed to say a word before they say it then they realise they can pretty much say anything and just let rip lol
