Moving On Out

David Duchovny is among the list of celebs trying to sell their house.

Duchovny and his wife, Tea Leoni, are set to move back to New York this year. They hope to move to the New York before their children start school in the fall.

Apparently, they think there's better schools there.

Snobs!

Up for sale is their Malibu ocean-view home with 6,578 square feet.

The 5.5 acre piece of property includes a home built in 1996 with two stories, five bedrooms and four bathrooms.

It also has a gym, two pools, and a guest house over their three car garage.

The purchase also includes membership in the La Costa Beach Club.

Coincidentally, Kenny Chesney purchased a house just two doors down from Duchovny earlier this year for $7.4 million.

Six weeks later he decided to sell if for $7.95 million.

The house has yet to sell.

As for Duchovny, his asking price is just an easy $12 million.

Hah. Good luck with that!

It's not a seller's market!

Perez is an ass kissing no talent hack who's lost all objectivity. He's not even funny. Love how he has a Coldplay Viva La Vida advertisement, when he's professed to hate the album and now accuses them of plagiarism. I"M OVER IT.

Is anyone else a little grossed by the very pregnant Tori Spelling photo Perez has on his site so he can cash checks from her reality show and make money off her? I find these hugely pregnant photos on this site to be tacky and super gross and I am female! Enough already Perez. We get it, you're fascinated by the pregnant creatures you write about. By the way, this fucking house will never sell with a "12" in the millions and I should know. Try 9.99 mill and it will sell in a week. Fucking greedy sellers! I deal with them DAILY. Peace, out.

Word at La Costa is that Tea found out about his affair with his tennis partner. It was common knowledge at LC, as they were there together ALL the time, Tea rarely if ever frequented the club (he used it just for T), and he wasn't exactly discreet. He was there nearly daily and now hasn't been in a while.

You can't sing, can't act, can't design fashion (sold anything at all?!) — and you are soooo not an A&R guy — but boy, you do like to criticize those who can!

so……..aren't we supposed to want the best for our kids? Or is it not politically correct to want your child to be the best a what he/she does anymore and do what is necessary to make that happen…

or maybe they didn't want to have to uproot their kids once they've made friends and connections.

either way, who are you to judge their motives?

too bad the schools ARE better on the east coast. Just look at any listing and the majority are in the northeast of the USA!

    49. 49

      Dear Perez,
I think that you are have always been absolutely fabulous but as a New Yorker, I am so dismayed by the fact that you considered somebody moving to NYC for the benefit of their child's education as "snobby" breaks my heart. As a NYU graduate, I thought you could recognize NYC as the best city, in terms of education, society, culture, diversity, fashion, business, and all over DIVANESS. stay fierce Perez

    50. Miche says – reply to this

      50

Because they want better schools for their children they are snobs? You are an ignorant asshole, Perez. While Hillary Clinton's and John Edwards's children all went to public schools, Barack Obama's children went to private schools. Does that make him a bad person? NO. GOOD people want what is best for their children.

I make enough to own a very nice Mission Style house from 1916. All original and furnished with all of the right things. How's that apartment treating you, Mario? Maybe you ought to gain some more experience in the world of real estate before you start judging that.

News flash, Perez. Schools ARE better in NY state. We have extremely high standards here. It's not easy to graduate HS here, and those who do generally do very well. You have to have a higher degree to teach school here.

At least in the south all you need is a BA. And little knowledge.

If every state had NY standards, this country wouldn't be so retarded. Obviously you don't have a clue.

Hey, a parent does what they think is best. New York is a close knit and hopping place, with plenty to stimulate a young brain. If you prefer L.A., then you send your kids to school in L.A. It's just personal preference, and a lot of choices are based on what the parent has experienced. Someone who loves L.A. will raise their kids there. For others, its a place to work.

      72

Another X Files movie, please. Duchovny does unspoken conspiracy well, as did Scully and the other actors. The writiers should have plenty of new material to work with in this political climate, plus new UFO sightings worldwide daily. Howzaboutit?

    73. CATHA says – reply to this

      73

Perez, did you ever stop to think that maybe they don't want to raise their kids in LA-LA land around all of that materialistic, celebrity driven crap!? Or maybe they have other reasons for being in NYC, where they've certainly been before (Tea was born and raised there)? Or that they could make a pile on their Malibu home and "downsize" to New York? Neither of them have a series right now which in my mind would be the only reason to live in LA at all: that kind of regular paycheck. For movie acting you can live virtually anywhere you want and then go on location. I'm just relieved they're still married as I thought I was going to read about another Hollyweird divorce.

    74. Ahhh says – reply to this
