Paying His Respects
Filed under: PolitikPresident Bush attended a wake on Tuesday for former Meet The Press host Tim Russert, who died suddenly of a heart attack on Friday.
The memorial was held at St. Albans School in Washington.
A larger service will be held Wednesday afternoon and broadcast on MSNBC.

Perez sucks. All he does is promote himself, kiss celebrity ass, slander those who've snubbed him, and tack other people's stories up on his page with a lame "What do you think" at the end, so he doesn't offend anybody, because that would mean less ad dollars in his pocket. Fuck Perez!

Tim Russert, the last of the NBC news brand. It won't be long after President Bush leaves office (3-5 months) that we will be hit again. Obama or McCain will issue warrants for the arrest of the bombers and we will Hope everday and will have Change we deserve. President Bush will go down in history as one of the great defenders of America.

Tim Russert was one of the last democrats who didn't operate in the slimy, nasty, Clinton-infested aura that now exists. He was a great moderator, and a wonderful ambassador to the great city of Buffalo. He is going to be sorely missed, and the President being present at his wake illustrates just how Mr. Russert was able to garner support and respect across the aisle.

The troubles of the world will not go away because people feel that they need to appropriately send condolences in the face of the death of a decent person like Mr. Russert. Get over your special interest…we all know its there, and are trying to help as best we can.
